In my opinion its impossible to not agree with part of this sentiment. However, you can't stop the flow of information or the progression of people wanting to market it. There is no way to control the proliferation of poker content.
You could get every poker player in the world to understand that tapping the glass is bad for the game. Its rule number one really. They know and understand its bad but do it anyways. Some people get in mentorship situations where there is a friendship and that becomes the incentive to give info. Some people do it out of frustration to make themselves feel better when the fish wins. Some people do it for money. Some people do it because they like it. No matter what the avenue you just cant stop the dissemination and progression of info, even with a blood oath or a unilateral agreement by every player ever that glass tapping is bad.
Its gonna happen, and the game is going to get tougher. The best players adapt and study. The mediocre ones complain and often quit, and the recreational player will continue to go out and play because its not about being the best or getting rich to him. He might even buy a book or two along the way as he goes through life playing poker as a fun past time.
You cannot stop the dissemination of information or increasing competition so you might as well try to get comfortable and adapt. Hopefully there are no book burnings any time soon!
