What are the odds someone makes money off borrowed money in poker?

I would guess from my experience of lending and borrowing that it’s roughly the same as the percent of winners in poker. So 5% chance borrowed money turns into something.

For a tournament we can safely assume there was 85% chance of not cashing.

Even if they do win there might not be an agreement beyond paying back what was borrowed so is largely irrelevant. Although can certainly imagine the person who lent the money expecting a piece if the lender got a big win. I'm sure this has caused disagreements if the deal didn't include any % of the action

Very true inspired my latest thread to be created where I invested in someone a buyin and they cashed and went to play slots instead of paying me profit.
