Sorry. I was trying to make a point that although what Mike does is wrong, I feel the guy is vilified on here by certain people like he is this arch criminal. I can find countless examples. Is someone like Kobe Bryant a better person than Mike? He was accused of rape and because he had lots of money and a celebrity, the case went away, a confidential settlement was paid and to most of the general public it's like nothing has happened. But he RAPED somebody. To me that is like scum of the earth. And then there is Borovetz who gives a stupid story to hopefully get money to feed his gambling addiction.

So who is worse? Money makes most problems go away. Because of basketball Kobe is a hero to lots of people but Borovetz to most on here is horrible, scum, evil, awful, the worst, etc. It just goes to show how skewed most of us are when rapists are glorified but sad addicts are demonized. That's life though and that's why I will never consider Mike to be this horrible scumbag like some do. He hasn't chosen violence to get money, he's not out there robbing banks. He's a sad degenerate gambler who is in bad shape right now. I feel sorry for him. I just don't see darkness in him when I read about his life and problems. I see a person who needs help. But he needs to make that decision not any of us.

I understand that General Wainwright in the Phillipines left us some money, if you send $200 in bitcoin to a certain blockchain address, his associate from Nigeria will forward a fortune ..... want in on this ?

No ? Why not ? Most scammers do not choose violence to get money, so you're cool with that ?

First of all, Kobe Bryant was a high profile celebrity accused of rape one time. Myabe he did or didn't but I think it's fair to give him the benefit of the doubt. Now, Ben Roethlisberger on the other hand was accused of rape twice! After the first time as a high profile athlete I get accused of rape I'm having every woman sign a consent form...

Oh good, another discussion in which the following argument takes place:

B is far worse than A. Therefore, A isn't all that bad.

It is the younger brother of another popular NVG discussion mechanism:

Player A is better than Player B. Therefore, Player B sucks.

(I call this latter scenario the "Hellmuth Corollary")

EDIT: by the way, can we see any of these "countless" examples in which Mike B is "villified as if he is an arch criminal?" I honestly did look (although I'll admit I didn't check the other thread). Most detractors in here are just saying he's scummy for what he does, which is perfectly fair; while a few people have actually attempted to reach out to help him.
