There has also been several other email/info leaks from poker related sites. At least 2 of my spam emails have gotten flooded with online gambling scams. I think another one was leaked from cardrunners but got no info for another.

Just because it's something you're expecting to happen doesn't mean you should trust emails like this when there's nothing on bodog's site, IP subforums here or calvinayre.com. It's a good situation for scammers when they know people are expecting a rebranding. Nobody is saying OP isn't legit (assuming you mean the poster and not the email in OP), but there's simmply no reason to click the link as long as we get some kind of official announcement or support confirmation for the legitimacy of that email.

It might be legit (probably is?), but there's simply no reason to take any risks and not wait a few hours for confirmation.

Pardon me while I don my tinfoil hat. So little faith in anything these days its hilarious.

Bodog has since LONG ago announced they will be re-branding but until just now have not revealed the new brand name. The old bodog rep Justin even claimed he did not know new branding details.

A friend of mine(that also plays on bodog) just contacted me and said whoah did you get that email? I said no which email?

Then 5 minutes later I did get it. Its legit.

Yeah because scammers don't read the news.

Not saying this is a scam but your logic is questionable.

Apologize for what? Warning people to open links like that before the confirmation is helping the community. All it took is to wait 30 minutes for confirmation, was that really so bad?

There has been lots of similar scamming attempts, there's was no reason not to be extra careful when many of us poker players have 5 figures on our poker accounts, with account password being pretty much the only protection from getting the money stolen.

Becky's forum account may have been compromised, keep those hats on ! There's nothing on the new domain except a notice anyway which definately wouldn't be the case if it were a phishing attempt.

Chill out, just yankin' your chain. Some people are strung way too tight. I killed the links, just for your benefit. Relax, and bask in the glow that is BOVADA!

As a major rebranding launch this is about the level of professionalism I would expect from Bodog.*

How do we even know this is 2+2? Site could have been compromised, cloned, etc. I'm taking a real chance posting here.

here's to hoping things dont actually get worse.

im 95% sure the answer is "yes" to the following question, but i cant remember for certain, so i will ask: do all the player bases (ie usa/rest of world) still play together with this change? (or are any of them segregated in some fashion?)

The name makes me think they combined cows (bovine) with an incorrect spelling of a watch (Movado).

This is what I want to know. Becky, any info on if the player base will be the same or if the USA Bovada users will be segregated?
