Bodog/Bovada crashed/down during the Super Bowl Bodog/Bovada crashed/down during the Super Bowl

The poker and sports betting website is down as of 15~ minutes before the Super Bowl starts.

I hate to think this is possible, but is this possibly related to US authorities raiding them/shut them down in regards to changing/evolving US legal landscape?

As someone who works in IT, they would have a million backup plans, and I don't think of any other reason why it would be down during the Super Bowl.

Well, given how reliable Bodog software is, with virtually no downtime, that seems like the only logical assumption.

Just teasing, OP, but from what I've seen in the Bodog thread over the last I don't know how many years, this seems extremely standard, and it's a bit silly to jump to a doomsday scenario immediately. I guess with the website down, this is different than usual, but still not all that surprising.

Email support, tell them what happened and they will give you money back, at least your buyin.

Well I'm guilty of doomsday scenario thinking..

But Bodog/Bovada lost alot of $ in possible bets before the game started in the 45~ minutes the sports book was down, rip to the IT team.

This isn't the first super bowl that Bovada has crashed.

Get the bets lined up just right, crash the site to take no more bets.

Easy money

Jk, it was probably overcrowded and they lost a bunch of money bc of it
