Was my favorite poker magazine by far.

The website will continue as before.

Perhaps kevmath can shed some light on this.

Swedish Poker Magazine did the exact same thing just now after 7-8 years of being published. Not sure how Bluff has fared through the years but Poker Magazine sliced their price in half about a year ago and now switched owners and decided to go exclusively digital.

There is zero money to be made in print magazines or newspapers and on top of that a specialty Mag. for poker, question really is, how did it make it this long?

Bluff's North America version was bought by Churchill Downs/Twin Spires a while back.

Cessation of production/distribution of a print version of an essentially free publication, dependent upon ad revenue, is not surprising.

The print version of UK magazine 'Poker Player' had its last edition this month.
All of us subscribers have been given a 2 year subscription to the online version as a nice gesture.

Interesting. I never knew it was meant to be free. It's sold at our local newstand, filed in the same shelf that has gamers' magazines. It even has a sticker price ($5.99 US/$6.99 CDN) and a UPC.

I actually subscribed to it for a year, won a year's subscription through some sort of "caption this" contest on Facebook soon after, and have gotten it ever since despite never renewing.

Or is it one of those things that's free if you're in the right place (e.g. the way CardPlayer can be picked up at any Vegas casino) but you can also pay for if you live outside the area?

It's not just poker. Print magazines in general have had a very hard time of it; almost as bad as newspapers.

Yes, but not just in Vegas. Many casinos and card rooms throughout the country have it.
