This doesn't seem to include bank fraud. The other indictments seemed to be primarily concerned with the bank fraud, although there were other charges as there often are in indictments. This one doesn't even involve bank fraud.

It is worth noting that it avoids the specific question of whether spreading online poker is illegal under federal law because it uses maryland state law to prove that it was illegal, but I've never heard of a site banning maryland residents, so that probably applies to every site...

Primarily concerned with bank fraud is industry propaganda. It's one of many charges in the indictment

Edit: It's also impossible to run a site that accepts players in the US without committing bank fraud.

It's how I interpreted what I read when I read the indictment.

As I'm sure you know, it's quite standard to include other weaker charges in an indictment. It's worth noting that the charges for bank fraud and money laundering carried by far the largest penalties.

that is where full tilt and pokerstars went wrong. They didn't have the resources and wherewithall and legal advice to do things by the book as the sportsbooks do. Really? Common sense would answer your question.

Resources, wherewithall and legal advice are all things that a Billion Dollar company should have absoultely no problem acquiring at any point in time. Forgive me if my common sense is lacking in this area, but nothing is as it seems anymore. FWIW, I have played (poker, and sports betting) on sportsbook for quite sometime, I have had problems with thier checks before, i.e got a check tried to deposit and the check was no good, told SB and they sent me another check, it seems like they share some similarities with the sites being shutdown.
