You can be involved in traditionally anti-social/societal areas and not act like a piece of sxxt. You can play in indie punk bands or be a street magician or get some tatts or join the circus or do drugs and still have a code of ethics.

But there is a big difference between playing in a band for 50 bucks a night and playing for 50 bucks a night and stealing the clubs mic at the end of the set.

A person who does a bit of blow or drops a pill at the club on Saturday night is a different person than the guy rooting around in in someones coat pocket in the cloakroom looking for wallets to score dope. If you can't see which one of the two is a crappy dxxchebag.....well then it's you.

If this is what happened, Cates is a cheater and should be shunned for it. That's not to say that nothing else matters. Lots of the stuff that goes along with it matters a lot. Bu none of it would change the fact that Cates is a cheater and should be shunned.
