I think an asteroid hitting the Earth is more likely than us getting our FTP money from the DOJ at this point.

They should be truthful and say "Outlook does not look good"!

A meteor hit the Earth about a week ago, does that count?

Well, asteroids hit the Earth all the time... I'm guessing you mean "asteroid devastating to life" which happens every 100 million years or so.

Both will happen. The only question is "when".

i was told to tune in as well. Its kind of like a horrible tv show, but i just keep "tuning in" because i've been watching it for way too long and feel like i might as well keep watching until the conclusion.

At least he didn't tell them to stay extremely turned on.

at least the Justice Department is setting precedence for the term 'Relatively Soon', which I suspect will become jargon for all good defense lawyers in response to any deadline.

DOJ Pls, im getting really bored with this.

FAIL

Hmmm, another fiscal cliff coming up on March 1.

Maybe it won't hurt the remissions process... but it sure won't help.

Of course, the DoJ MIGHT make an announcement on the very last day of January... oops I mean February...

But if they don't, and the budget cuts kick in, who knows WHEN it may happen.

The frustration is quickly turning back to rage. It looks like the DoJ is the new champion of 'soon.' Not that I had much doubt. I just hope that after all this waiting their announcement contains remission info and possibly some sort of time line. I can only imagine the new height of enjoyment this thread will be if we get an announcement of an announcement.

I don't know if the cynicism or the rage would be greater.

probably rage at this point.

It's not about being on the top of anyone's list you dolt. It's our money that pokerstars paid out and the rest of the world already has it. For some reason we have to wait.
02-28-2013 , 01:27 AM
Is there a chance the government can just decide to f*ck us and not pay? I mean the average person doesn't know about full tilt, black friday or the whole remission thing and that makes me a little uneasy. On top of that you got some serious trolls with a $0 account balance trying to get their piece of the pool. They also continue to lie to us and won't even acknowledge what we have to say. They have seized life altering bankrolls of innocent american people and have shown no urgency to pay everyone's account balance back like full tilt has already done for the rest of the world. It's absurd

C'mon Joey! You've been around this thread long enough to know better.

The money pokerstars paid out for FTP players was not the FTP players' money. The money that the DoJ got from pokerstars and is holding for eventual remission payments does not belong to FTP players. FTP players have no legal right to that money. That money is just voluntary compensation for losses due to an offence. It is not "your money".

"Your money" is long gone. It was stolen from you, via fraud, by FTP, and the majority of it has not been recovered.

Thanks for keeping it under 6 paragraphs. I still disagree. The money is waiting to be given to us. No reason we should be waiting years for it.

Well ,Joey, there IS actually a reason, and that is the DOJ doesn't give a **** how long it takes, and they are in charge. And it sucks

They care more about seeing that it gets handed out according to the rules, with the 'i's dotted and the 't's crossed, than they care about seeing that it gets handed out quickly.

There will be an announcement for U.S. players before the end of next week. It could come this week but probably next. You can check here.
