If you prefer, feel free to pursue your claim independently of PPA. There's no reason not to.

Some folks need to wake up and smell the coffee here.
The PPA is now, and always was, a shill for online poker companies.
Do we not recall that Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson were on their board right up until the Full Tilt Scandal Broke? These are the very criminals that stole your money in the first place!
Don't buy in to the rhetoric about the PPA standing up for your rights as a poker player.
They do cursory things to make it look like they are backing up their mission statement...(make it look good)...so they can continue to operate under these false pretenses and get to where the money is...currently mostly with Pokerstars
Their ultimate goal happens to be the same as online grinders (to get online poker in the US legalized and regulated at a federal level)....but for very different reasons.
Look at the facts related to their interaction with the DOJ...sending letters, asking nicely for face to face meetings...etc..etc....just enough to "make it look good"
Then the VP comes out with a statement that "Getting your money back is not even part of our mission"
Obviously not...when you were most likely funded with part of the stolen money when HL and CF were still on your board.
Finally...a shred of honesty from the PPA...their mission statement isn't even part of their mission.
Don't be fooled by these guys...they are on the side of the fence that is collecting the rake...and watching the players being raked over the coals, while doing as little as possible about it...just enough to keep up appearances.
