A few people ITT said they could request an account history. I'm also curious about these results. I don't wanna attempt this myself because it would tilt me too hard to reinstall FTP on my computer.

I didn't say that how I want it to be. I simply said that's how the DoJ historically sees it.

Can anyone provide a list of names and phone numbers of people involved in the remission process that can be directly contacted rather than just calling the number that takes you to the automated BS message?
11-07-2012 , 08:58 AM
the way the DoJ is treating Americans in this situation is complete bull****

oh and the fact that you can smoke pot in CO for "recreational" use is laughable when online poker is still banned.

this country is so ****ing stupid

If you children would get out of your parents house and maybe read something other than comic books you would realize that most people, including those in Congress, believe poker is gambling. No one in Congress is going to vote on a bill that would promote gambling.

What the PPA has spent time and effort on is changing that stereotype with the courts, media, public, and Congress. Other than Reid who is going to believe a bunch of casinos? It was and is the best approach to take and I believe they have been successful.

What really sucks is that they have to waste time educating people who should know this.

If poker is important to you then I would suggest you find a way to constructively contribute or STFU and let the adults do. If it isn't important to you then!!!!!

Got an email this morning that mine was processed and is available. Away from my desktop so can't check to see if it is accurate.

If you prefer, feel free to pursue your claim independently of PPA. There's no reason not to.

Some folks need to wake up and smell the coffee here.

The PPA is now, and always was, a shill for online poker companies.

Do we not recall that Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson were on their board right up until the Full Tilt Scandal Broke? These are the very criminals that stole your money in the first place!

Don't buy in to the rhetoric about the PPA standing up for your rights as a poker player.

They do cursory things to make it look like they are backing up their mission statement...(make it look good)...so they can continue to operate under these false pretenses and get to where the money is...currently mostly with Pokerstars

Their ultimate goal happens to be the same as online grinders (to get online poker in the US legalized and regulated at a federal level)....but for very different reasons.

Look at the facts related to their interaction with the DOJ...sending letters, asking nicely for face to face meetings...etc..etc....just enough to "make it look good"

Then the VP comes out with a statement that "Getting your money back is not even part of our mission"

Obviously not...when you were most likely funded with part of the stolen money when HL and CF were still on your board.

Finally...a shred of honesty from the PPA...their mission statement isn't even part of their mission.

Don't be fooled by these guys...they are on the side of the fence that is collecting the rake...and watching the players being raked over the coals, while doing as little as possible about it...just enough to keep up appearances.

I got the email saying my history is available too. Clicked on the download and it puts my computer screen in sleep mode. Tried everything I can but just can not download it.

Ridiculous.

PPA's mission is to advocate for better laws for our game. PPA never claimed to be an insurer of our money. I'm glad we have been a very active participant in the efforts with DoJ and I was a proponent of just that. My statement was simply in response to some who acted like they are owed this by PPA.

PPA isn't a "they". It's our shared effort. That's why I advocated for our rights for years as an unpaid volunteer. That's simply what it takes for our fight to be successful. We all need to do our part to fight for our fights.

I didn't come from PPA to reach out to 2+2 posters and to players. I came from the 2+2 posting community and went to PPA to represent our views.

We're in a tough fight and we need to stand up for ourselves. That's what it will take to win.

Poker is gambling. Like blackjack, skilled players can have a positive expectancy under the right conditions, but it is still a gambling game.

The strategy of portraying poker as a game of skill is ridiculous, even if it may actually work. If people believe it is necessary and proper to protect people from their own choices, it doesn't matter that there are some people who are skilled enough to win at poker. They will still want to protect those who are not, so the skill argument will fall flat to them.

People should be free to gamble with their own money, period.

Got my account history today. It's an excel file that shows all adjustments to your account and the ending balance. I made a mistake by only requesting information until July '11, but everything looks good up to then, got rakeback in May and my balance is exactly what I remember. I'm going to request another history up to today and see if any changes were made during the downtime.

The Poker community is lucky to have people like Rich and Patrick fighting for us. Otherwise we would be left with morons like WillCK.

The PPA would be better served to simply ignore the few trolls. It's human nature to defend yourself against undo attacks, but "sometimes", you can come off in a bad light to the majority.

Having the FT members on your board is a black mark for the PPA. Simply acknowledge it and show that we are moving forward.

I appreciate y'alls efforts.

My suggestion to the ppa guys itt is to be more open to us about what these meetings with the doj are about and what they are actually doing in detail. Just my opinion that it will go a long way.

I've emailed to find out if they can confirm with me what my balance was at Black Friday and have yet to receive a response. I see they are showing zero balance right now.

Has anyone had any success confirming their figures?

Also got the email this morning. Just downloaded my account history (you get an excel file inside of a .zip) and my balance is showing correctly, up to and including rakeback and the tournament tickets that were converted over to "cash" after Black Friday.

Thanks.

Turnaround response time from when you made the request?
11-07-2012 , 01:27 PM
A hair under two days - I made the request here to see if I'd get another one, and if it would be accurate.
