GBT couldnt make a deal to buy FTP. When i remember correctly FTP was not allowed to negotiate with other investors as long as GBT was negotiating with FTP.

Immidiately after the deal was canceled between GBT and FTP, stars comes to buy FTP.

To be honest we don't really know how much tilt is worth since there are variables possibly in play that jacked up what stars might pay.

Will they be allowed in us market eventually?
Will the doj let them off the hook and drop charges?

Settlement with the DOJ for starters. Everything else is just gravy. It's unbelievable to think PS has the potential to make a profit for settling with the DOJ. Wow! Everything PS touches turns to gold. The Goldman Sachs of the poker world.

a few reasons ive thought Stars is going to go much much faster. Stars has been involved with the DOJ since April 15, Tapie came in completely blind sometime in September? and his sole purpose was to nickel and dime everything out of FTP to make as much as possible with no regard to actual player balances. Stars cares about its players, can settle with the DOJ, and its executives get a clean slate with the DOJ. They also get the 2nd largest company and they know how to make FTP work, know about poker industry, and are possibly getting entry into the US once its all legit again. Stars also has 750M on the table and is ready to do work whereas Tapie had 16M on the table (that he was actually trying to get from FTP pros, so Tapie really had no money on the table) and was trying to work over everyone.

It would be sick if Pstars + FTP shared the network as Merge sites are doing right now.
