I just heard that Tommy Fisher passed away months ago. Can anyone confirm this? I first met Tommy at Oklahoma U. in the 60's, where he was relieving the student body of all their gambling money. From there Tommy moved to Vegas where he got rich playing poker and betting sports. I spent a lot of time with Tommy in our younger days, not so much later. I'd love to hear any stories about him. He was a gifted player; at poker, pool, golf, gin rummy and anything else he tried.
I do know one time they tried to rob him in the parking garage of the Mirage. Two or three shots from his little .25 sent them to the hospital and later jail. Tommy was pint sized but he had balls the size of Texas. RIP my friend
