Beth Shak — the pro poker queen known for her $1 million stiletto collection — says she fled New York City in fear for her safety after she was targeted by a hacker. But after retreating to the leafy Philadelphia suburb of Wayne, Pa., Shak says her home was broken into last week.
But rather than boost her shoe and handbag collections, a thief targeted her personal information and even hacked her home’s alarm.
“I left New York because I feared for my safety,” said Shak when reached for comment. It’s unclear who’s behind the break-in.
Sources said Shak’s home was broken into on June 15. But she didn’t even realize anything was missing until she looked for a diary she was using to record a timeline of recent hacking incidents that included the theft of private topless photos and other personal details, plus breaches of her bank account, email, cellphone and social media accounts.
Even her dog Mila’s Instagram was invaded and passwords were changed. This time, the journal and a book of passwords were stolen and the codes on her home alarm system were changed.
Sources said the intruder was even able to disable her security cameras to evade detection. Shak called local cops June 17, a source said, and they’ve visited her home numerous times.
Shak’s mother’s cellphone account has also been compromised, we’re told. The Upper Merion Township Police Department did not provide a police report or comment on Tuesday. Shak’s also gathered a team of security pros and lawyers to investigate.
Page Six reported in April that Shak and Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal filed for divorce after less than a year of marriage. Friends of Shak and Leventhal have commented that they don’t know who’s trying to hack the stunning card shark or why.
But Shak defiantly told Page Six of whoever’s been after her private info, “I will not be bullied.”
A source figured that at least “she’ll be able to sell either a great Lifetime movie or write a book.”
