Because he has a family (wife and son), some companies (one of those related with poker) and he is not a massive grinder. Also he does not want to support a great variance in therms of money.

He can win 30k / month at the tables... this money is enough to live confortable.

He does not play like this, he plays 99% away GTO, it means exploitative.

This is basically because he considers the most of regs below him, so he can exploit their leaks with a massive profit putting his game away of some kind of GTO.

Obviously he can play like that in this weak field, I suppose if he would play today NL5k (level that he already played at 2009-12) or higher, his style would be different.

Lol... what a fanboy... He 100% isn´t Raul as SirDonald is way to humble to write this type of stuff, actually he wouldn´t like seeing this at all I can imagine.

This guy is obv doing something right/better than most of that field but I also think there´s another reason aside from the family that he doesn´t play higher. Probably fear of not being able to win higher, because being the owner of a Poker school puts some massive pressure on having good results. And probably his super exploitive style wouldn´t fit well on HS as the regs tens to have very few leaks to exploit and the exploited one would be himself.

Gotta respect his game, hes a very rare breed - a mythical redline warrior in a very nitty nitty tough gto field. He is very far from "nGTO" as we know it atleast, and I would love to take coaching from him.
