Sorry if there is already a thread for this topic (im sure there is somewhere)

I was having a discussion with a friend about the best player in the world right now, he was saying that it was obviously Jason Mercier as he won the WSOP POTY but i disagreed.

Would love to know people's thoughts on who/why is among the best of the best right now

And as a side question, what about the greatest player ever? Has to be Negreanu based purely on total winnings right? (Same friend was claiming Negreanu was overrated )

They haven't updated Hendon yet, but yesterday I played a 20 million buyin 3 handed sng and won 60 million so I am now the best player in the world based on total winnings.
