This 100%. I do however like to occasionally throw a small dose of adderall in there. OCCASIONALLY. If you over do it, it ends up having a negative effect on results.
Say I took a couple months off during the summer or something. Sometimes it takes a little boost to get back into the groove. Say I broke the original rules and went and got a big dinner and a couple beers. A little dose helps to get me on my feet and allow me to play otherwise I just end up taking the night off.
I'd say a small dose once a week or 2 keeps things in check and the focus you can gain with it, kind of carries over to when you don't take it. I've noticed when I start taking it too much, then cut myself off and follow the original rules my focus seems to go sky high. Moral of story, adderall can be beneficial in occasional small doses. Sticking to the main rules works just fine too.
