Some sort of high stakes collusion ring that is also running real time solver software is likely going to be the party guilty of extracting the most money from games on ACR. I think this type of team is mostly operating on American and mobile apps due to serious lack of security on these platforms. Unfortunate reality of the online world in recent years. If you're playing high stakes online you're almost guaranteed to be colluded against at minimum in my opinion.
they come in the lead for cash game rake race, sng rake race AND plays hundreds of MTTs a week - I don't understand how a human can do that much volume
it's not even just the volume for IBME ... they play a number of random games ... before i realized the site had a ton of bots they sat in games i had open at 15/30 limit holdem and 1/2 omaha h/l ... it seems like too much for a person to manage especially with the price ranges they flow through ... i wish ACR had the search option to see how many things they're doing at a time
ACR is the bellator mma of online poker , everyones on the sauce. even low stakes was a russian collusion ring and bot emporium. ive not played there in years though so maybe by some chance its better now .
It is better... the bots and colluders are American now!
Is that site not unsafe as hell? I heard it was unregulated. Who knows what hacks and crap they use? I have played on there and have no clue if half the table is full of bots or players using apps. They do not regulate it. I would steer clear.
I have been a reg on here for a few years spending periods of times doing nothing but tons of volume in nlh cash, plo cash, mtts, sng's, on demands, ratholes of all kinds, jackpots when I'm bored and even blitz when a huplo pool starts running or higher than 200 blitz. 200 blitz imo is the one place I could see bots still thriving, but over the years I've seen drastic improvement in the quality of the games(in terms of higher quality=more fair, less bots). I think a lot of the hate the site gets is from people who don't actually play on it, or they play and lose a few deposits and cry bot, not understanding they'd lose that deposit anywhere they decided to play.
I do think tho that lower stakes the bot/collusion issue is much more prevalent than higher stakes. Making $50 a day in some countries is life changing, so the incentive to run a bot at .25/.50 is hard to pass up I think. But with bots you have to constantly tweak them and adjust due to pool frequencies so you need to actually be good at poker. This is much less of a problem at lower stakes where the level of play isn't great to begin with. On ACR while by no means am I naivete to think no bots or no collusion exists, I do feel safe playing higher stakes especially as more and more of the pool are people that are known in the community. I play mainly 5/10+ or $88+ mtts(I think my ABI for mtts is $200ish) and these games feel much safer than on an app for example.
The safest games have always been the rathole ones imo. They have the highest number of USA based players, and stack depths are so funky that its hard to imagine a bot is able to adjust for all these varying stack sizes and play profitably. Collusion at them could def still occur, but it takes a handful of double ups before that prolly even affects you as when you've got sub 30bb you're kinda just gonna be all in a bunch, regardless if you're being colluded against or not.
Point of this post is basically to put out in the world a different perspective and opinion on WPN and let ppl know that theres a good amount of ppl that make a living that definitely arent cheating from playing mainly on acr. Its by far the best option in the US, and even times I've been living abroad with all options at my legal(aka dont even have to vpn) disposal I still would choose it over others. Fwiw Im not saying Im one of the guys who lives solely off ACR, but I have quite a few friends that do. I'd say most play mtts but I do know some cash game guys that do.
