Ben Grundy looking for stake. Ben Grundy looking for stake.

I was reading Ben's update this morning and was thinking he should have no problem finding someone to back him due to his impressive results over the last few years. He comes across as a likeable guy but it seems like he's underrated on this site. My question - will there be a queue of highstakes players willing to stake Ben or not?

He's made 7mil yet needs a stake? wtf?

And I dont beleive that that graph is genuine, not for a second.
08-22-2010 , 07:01 AM
yeah, why should he need staking??? if hes that good on himself and made all that money... why make less money due a staking deal?

Busto obv

In his blog he states he has a bought two houses and has been staked in the past so obv a big chunk of his winnings has gone to the staker. Lol at the graph been fake the guy has crushed 25 50 - 50 100. Considering he's rarely played higher than that it makes his results more impressive imo.

No failure there.

Anyone who "won" 7.8 milion would neither want nor need staking to play 100/200. Period.
The graph is obviously fake, and anyone who believes otherwise is a moron.

ben grundy has bad money management, who'd a thunk it.
08-22-2010 , 07:39 AM
Why would you think that he would be a bad manager of his own money? He looks like a nitty person.

lol wat

A 'huge chunk of his roll' buying a house and refurb is probably at least 2million (£) maybe 3.

So bearing in mind living expenses etc for the past 5 years and he only had 50% of himself for some of it I'm not sure what people are not grasping?

Huge winning player wants stake to play high.
08-22-2010 , 07:51 AM
Why do people just outright believe that the graph is genuine ?
Just because he said it was ?

Ive played on the Euro sites.
Its not possible to win 7.8 million on the Euro sites.
Theres not even 7 or 8 million in cash on the Euro sites.
Maybe if you won every god-damn chip on the site, you might win 7 million.

But the graph is fake, the guy is a fraud. Its just a ploy, no doubt to boost his status and sell coaching to mugs.

Brighten up people, dont believe everything that everyone says.
Some people are actually liars.

Certainly when you read on his blog what he's doing to it -- home cinema, gym, etc. So, it's a decent size and presumably in a decent part of London. £2-3m not out of the question at all.

Why someone would spend a lot on a couple of houses if it didn't leave them enough to continue making money with.

He went on a bad downswing recently, it sounded like he didnt leave himself much wiggle room with the roll he left online and probably needed to run good, and it didn't work out for him.

sell one house... 500k roll+ right there. Why do you need more than 1 house if you're not willing to sell + have financial troubles?

If someone cared enough to ask the question, why wouldn't they bother to actually look at the blog and find out for themselves, from the horses mouth rather than from speculating nvgtards?

He's a backed player. He appears to be taking big chunks of his roll out of the poker economy to lock away in property. If his blog is truthful, he's got more than enough to meet his living expenses already locked up.

If you believe his game can make you money, he invites you to stake him. If you don't, why the hell do you care either way?

I have an unopened MilkyBar in my fridge he can have to get him started. I have taken a picture of it as below.
