Another advantage of playing online is that you don't have to deal with this kind of thing. Tony was escorted by the police after Erik123 realized he was 1k short in a split Omaha 8 pot, they counted the pot and the other guy was short as well, 2k missing. After several tape reviews they realized the dealer was taking the chips. This is the last of several dealers caught at the Bellagio later.

Thanks for the suggestion, no one ever thought of that.

More than a few pull this... watch your chips boys and girls. Imagine a person like Antonio E with his slight of hand being a dealer. You'd never see it coming or going.

one would think that is the safest place to play poker, but hey, when they are wagering that much money, the dealer might think that no one would realize he was being shorted in chips.

Well Darwinianly speaking, the higher limit players are going to be better with money and less likely to be too busy drooling down their shirts to pay attention to money being stolen

you mean you dont keep an eye on every chip on the pot ?

I know exactly how much is in the pot and how much rake should be taken and always make sure that the right rake is taken and i get the right amount( i check the rake for everyone ) caught the dealer miscounting rake(too much) but its not their interest goes in a lock box under the table just a mistake on their part

bold prediction: after bellagio sweeps the whole issue under the rug, the large majority of people who've looked down their noses at people who play on AP/UB will continue to play at the bellagio.

the ****ty part is that there's almost no chance this was his first time.

you dont start dealing in the big games overnight, and you dont just one day decide "hmm, ill steal thousands of dollars today".

all of the security tapes should have to be surrendered to the authorities, and the bellagio should be held liable for whatever can't be recovered. but they wont.

It would be a lot easier to spot with not much action until the river or something like that. Also if Erik suspected the dealer was stealing chips then he would make sure to pay attention to the potsize and betting on a few hands.
