Thats because you dont have a sense of humor. Same to everyone else that thought Barry was 100% serious.

I love listening to Barry's blogs about both poker and non-poker items.

Having said that, this one was a bit weird.

There are some things that should be uber-personal such as a relationship with your spouse and/or your sex life/fantasies/escapades.

He was.

Have you read the chapter in his book where he discusses "poker and your sexuality"? (Which I thought was actually pretty decent)

Yes, I have read his book. Let me ask you this: What was so 'weird' about the blog? I would argue that if you felt uncomfortable and/or weird listening to it, then you have some growing up to do.

it didn't seem so bad to me. in fact, i applaud barry for his honesty. sharing a bed with a girl when you know nothing is gonna happen can drive you nuts, espesh if the girl in question is (either knowingly or unknowingly) a pricktease

I'm in my 30s, married with 2 kids and did find it weird as did a previous poster who claimed he was 74 (he may have been joking, I have no clue). It's definitely not a matter of "growing up".

I will add that I don't think the story in and of itself was weird; just the fact that it was shared on a public blog by a respectable public figure.

i agree.

if you put all that aside, how is barry g even attracted to anna? i could understand if kimberly lansing asked if she could crash at your place, then hell yah it would be hard not to have sexual urges.

also how old is barry g?

I listened to the whole show with the expectation it was gunna be a lil' "weird" or "creepy"...

What I got was a simple 11 minute rundown of his time at that event, with an emphasis on one particular storyline, that was told in a way to build up some type of suspense(what's gunna happen next?) which a good storyteller will do in order to keep the listener's attention.

Good blog Bear.

I agree. That was the problem.

I actually wouldn't have mentioned it if Anna hadn't kept bringing male friends up to the room during the tournament. (She claims they weren't interested in her. They all wanted to meet me!) They must have all figured the obvious was happening, when it wasn't. I decided it was better for me to tell the funny story than wait for someone else to mistell it.

My protests were against those who think it's creepy that someone my age would have sexual thoughts that wander. Sorry kids, even your mom does!

Barry

barry, i respect you more than 99.99% of all players for how you conduct yourself in and out of the poker world.

doesn't matter to me that you shared "fantasies." i worded that incorrectly.

i was just disappointed that you didn't provide AW w/a more worry-free sleeping arrangement after she came to you for help. seems like she went from one uncomfortable situation to another.

respect to you, BG

So Barry, what about those dream induced morning erections? Awkward?

Barry says his girlfriend Alex works 14 hours a day for Pokerroad just keeping books and arranging travel? This seems a little questionable. The whole site seems like 2 college kids put it up their spare time.

I'm failing to see how this is creepy at all.

If you've been in the same situation, you know exactly what he's talking about. The temptation is always there, especially the later at night it gets. Granted, she's not the hottest chick in the world but I can imagine BG has thought about tagging her on her good days.

First time I listened to the blog B, enjoyed it. Next time share a room with Liz and you'll need a brick wall.

It's a little creepy, Barry being around fifty and Anna being around 20. Why agree to room with her in the first place, much less sleep in the same bed and then blog about it afterward? A little creepy, a little odd, but not Michael Jackson odd.

I was waiting for Barry to begin a detailed analysis of his bowel habits...
But I bailed after 5 minutes...
So maybe he did get around to that eventually.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It would be more interesting if Barry and Anna were closely related...
And DS level world class creepy.

no disrespect to anna, but given the spot charder was in, i'd be way more interested in hanging out with u rather than her

I see nothing wrong at all with his blog. Wasn't interesting to me personally, but saying it's creepy or awkward is just WAAAY off.
