I was arrested several times at poker games, and once at a dice game. Back in the day, that was just part of it. I am not ashamed of it. In a weird way, it is somewhat like the early civil rights workers who are proud of their arrests. Not that we gamblers were noble or interested in the welfare of anyone special.
Barry is just flirting with gobbomom. Are there any hot pictures of her on Wicked Chops?

Even after you distance yourself from that analogy, it's still offensive.
Actually, I have a right to write that based on my experience.
I was a gambler and a civil rights worker, and hassled by the police in both roles. However, voter registration and all that was more dangerous than poker with gun-toting Texans.

Another tidbit about the arrest that Bob told us last night. Keep in mind this was in a small county with a police force of probably no more than 6 officers at the time (think Andy of Mayberry).
After arresting the players, the cops didn't have enough room in their squad cars to transport everyone the 5 miles or so into town for fingerprinting.
They asked the players to drive their own cars and follow the police into town to be processed.
Bob said when he got to the road that led to his home, he almost veered off, but "they had my money and I.D., so I just drove to the jailhouse".
PS: No word on whether Officer Sawlaw took the bullet out of his breast pocket.
