No, but by doing it using Bitcoins you could do it anonymously so there is no one to go after legally. On the other hand this creates a trust issue so you would need someone credible to vouch for it all. That is why hooking up with an already established Bitcoin site like seals with clubs would be a good idea.

Can anyone tell me what the puts on Diaz are trading at right now? I figured after his recent ban these things have to be sky high! I own a few and was just curious what kind of market timex is making on these right now.

What he is doing is essentially allowing you to bet on poker players in tournaments. That is what you are doing anyway when you buy shares of xxx player in xxx tournament anyhow. For example, the player is offering himself at -130 but makes a great case for how he's easily -150 so everyone swoops in to buy shares. The beauty of this is, his lines don't have to be anywhere close to accurate as he doesn't allow you to bet the other side.

I hope Timex has done extensive algorithms on the variance and uses max bets wisely. If this plan comes to fruition, he will almost definitely get a bunch of action from someone like Ivey laying 50k on himself. And with some bad luck, there goes half his bankroll.
Lol extensive algorithms he just had a max bet so that someone could take max 20% of themselves in wsop Main for example

I'm clearly missing something here. Say Player A is charging 1.5 MU on a $1K buyin. You buy 10% and it's $150. Timex will charge you 1.45 MU so your 10% is now $145. So you pay Timex $145 and then what happens? How does Player A get his stake at his requested markup? Does Timex take my $145 and pay player A $150??

Brain is fried today.

Player A: "Hey, I'm selling ME shares at 2.05 because I'm an internet wiz"

Timex: "Eh, he's not worth that, I'll sell you the same piece 1t 1.95"

If Player A cashes Timex will pay you out of his OWN pocket.

Timex is undercutting market prices and selling their action on the side, not in any way as part of the stake. Timex is essentially a bookie.

The thing is every time he offers/offered action, it was considered a bad investment for the buyer (in his eyes). So really you need to know more or think Timex Is wrong to buy from him. Gl making money like that!

In this case Timex would be TAKING the player's action, assuming the player charging 1.5MU is not sold out - i.e. no money goes from investor to player but rather from investor to Timex and the player is irrelevant.

Thanks for clearing that up. 8 months later and I was getting worried we would never know.

Maybe PokerShares is being bought out?

Edit: I see that's what's being speculated on Twitter, an eight figure sale.

8 figures for pokershares seems pretty insane/unrealistic to me.

If that's the case I wouldn't go on twitter announcing "best day of my life" because maybe the buyer might realize I'm totally ripping him off.
