At certain stages of PLO comps you
can make (quasi) stop and go plays pre when your pot odds to call are so good that it's right to, to avoid throwing away equity and to have a chance to double/triple up.
If you then hit the flop hard/pretty good *and* a player with a wide opening range and a high C bet freq bets, then you should definitely go with your hand.
People sometimes forget that ICM works both ways. Sometimes laddering too much is bad if it means you're killing too much upside of finishing in the top 3.
