This assumes no re-buys and no selling of equity at a mark up and doesn't account for travel expenses etc, or obviously cash games.
You obviously have no idea how much he made in free buffets..

It doesn't scare anyone that the biggest nit grinder in mtt's has only made 250k over a 10+ year career?

I think most people will recognise that to be a winning player with a fairly low +ROI over a biggish sample means that he's likely played too tight a tournament strategy given the very top heavy nature of prize money.

Someone hinted he's an expert at maximising comps/freebies, plus his style of play will win small, steady amounts in most low/mid stakes live cash games so you can't really knock him if he's made a decent living overall.

Possibly he's also had some massive equity spots along the way that went against him, meaning that ~250K could have been $1M.

3/3 and roughly 30 BBs which is plenty in a PLO comp, €90K+ up top,
so a great chance of increasing his life time ROI by ~3%.

My update was the status straight from the delayed stream, not from Chainsaw's Twitter nor from live time real reporting, so wasn't a spoiler.

This is correct for a *slow structured* FT (last 2 or 3 tables) of a PLO MTT where ~28BBs is a very comfortable stack, ~18BBs can be nursed okay and playing very cautiously can often be optimal. Typically many other players are making some horrible ICM errors and are generally playing too impatiently.

Been watching the stream on and off today and Chainsaw's excellent understanding of pre-flop play, ICM and laddering have been the main components as to why he's ground a shortish stack to be 1 of 3. The other players are not as skilled/competent in those areas.

Cant rem the last time I watched a PLO stream

Joey's right about one thing... it is a great game.

who is doing commentary?

IM clueless on PLO strat, but seems to be really limpy from these final three players. would a little more pre-flop aggression, be a better strategy given just three handed and current table dynamics?
