Would like to hear your experience from previous years "November 9" that you attended.
Will be in LV that weekend to play some poker and watch the BIG guys. Will be routing for Makiievskyi. Go Ukraine!

I'm unsure if you can even attend it you just show up.

Tried to at Bay 101 a while back for the final table of wpt event. Couldn't get in, but could watch it on the TVs they had there.

I would still go to the WSOP ME FT, just to be there, and be part of it. Even if you can't see all that much, you'll probably have a good time... But as was already stated, there's going to be a lot of down/quiet time for sure.

Didn't actually go to the Ivey FT, but I was in Vegas at the time and played with guys who did. To a man they said it was a complete waste of time.

How do you get to be able to sit in the crowd at WSOP final table? Is it first come first serve? Pre-reg? Do you have to pay?

I think the wsop is a large open room as opposed to the closed in room for wpt events.

Sorry to disappoint, but outside their family&friends nobody actually cares about the November 9, ie the luckiest 9 guys of the year... and railing live poker is like watching ants on a wall.

pls tell me ur not actually planning a trip to vegas exclusively to see the november 9.... I mean if u happen to be there during it, by all means go just to say that u were there. I wouldnt ever consider even for a moment, flying there just to see it unless a friend of mine was playing. U couldnt pay me to sit thru it.

FT is like a little mini stadium. If you can't get in, you can't see anything. Although I think they have the TVs above, so you can see a little I guess.

But yeah, for wpt, they pretty well built a tent inside to close everything off.

Watching the final table of any live poker tournament is mind-numbingly boring. Suggestion: Smuggle in as much booze as you can.

I went last year, it was boring as hell. One of my friends got 2 wristbands from someone he was playing with in the Ivey room.
The final table takes place in the Penn and Teller theater. With a wristband it is open seating down low. A lot of people come and go because its so boring, we wound up getting seats in like the 3rd row. A lot of pros were there and a lot of them hang out in the lobby by the concession stand. If you're the type of person that gets hard by seeing a pro poker player walk by you then make sure you wear baggy pants.

Seriously, its boring as hell. If you come across some wristbands or don't have to wait long in line to get it, then go, otherwise skip it.

make a facebook event: "November 9 Pokers" and make it public. See how many people attend and ask for experiences, you'll probably get a gillion (~20 in american) replies.

With a wristband you can come and go as you please, for general admission, if you leave you have to wait in line to get back in.

They have a concession stand in the lobby where they sell beer, drinks and some other ****.

It was a lot of fun going to it last year. Super electric atmosphere. But they also had some pretty dramatic hands early like the Mizrachi / Matt Jarvis AQ>99 hand, and the Jason Senti bustout hand. Plus it was really cool to see Mizrachi shred it up for a while before he lost that flip to Duhamel and kind of lost composure.

Did you manage to stay for the whole thing?

Both days, or just one?

How much did you lose?
