Eli borrowed $100k from me during a cash game in Bobby's Room on July 15th 2010, toward the end of a long summer where we played a ton against each other and generally got along very well. At the end of the session, one of the most seasoned high stakes Vegas regs pulled me aside and warned me what I did wasn't a good idea, and not to do it again.

We didn't cross paths my final few days in Vegas that summer. Over the course of the next year, he was responsive and widdled down the debt from $100k to $40k (a few grand at a time, via Full Tilt transfer), which he still owes me. By summer 2011, he had stopped making payments but was still responsive with plenty of reasons why he couldn't.

Since then, he's been basically nonresponsive. I've sent him messages every now and then when he's hit a big tournament score and he's ignored them. The only time I got a response was when we were both in Vegas playing the same tournament, and he asked me not to make a public scene about it. I still have screen shots of texts and other evidence, but would like to give him a chance to respond before sharing more.

Ei, I am coming to Vegas for the WSOP. Can I buy you (and your wife, if needed) dinner when I’m there?

How shameless is Eli to come on here and plug his book knowing he'll probably get called out about stuff like this. Although I suppose he imagines his name is so illustrious that no one would believe anyone over him, not a bad plan until the other guy is CTS.

what if he wrote the book to pay you back? might've shot yourself in the foot here. it's only been 9 years, why not give the man some more time to make things right before going public?

When Eli said he always pays his debts I said to myself “I highly doubt that. I highly doubt several people in the past couple years have all been lying. He also just seems like the kind of guy to dodge debts”. Then I took a step back and kind of chastised myself for judging him without all the facts. Moral of the story, trust your instincts. P.S we love you cts, hope you get paid sir

He admits to being a winner in high stakes action earlier in the thread yet
still cant/wont pay his debts. Hmmmmm?

So much this. It seems he's making a point of answering questions in the most obtuse manner, with the least detail, using the fewest words and least amount of thought or effort possible.

Rapid fire Q's, answer as fast as possible:

What's your favourite preflop starting hand?

Favourite meal before a tournament?

Biggest amount you've scammed someone for?

Green felt, blue felt or red felt? Which is best?
01-20-2019 , 04:53 AM
Lmao
01-20-2019 , 04:54 AM
Eli - we know you're here

01-20-2019 , 05:28 AM

01-20-2019 , 05:57 AM

01-20-2019 , 06:48 AM
