Who's this BRAER_71RUS guy? Seems like a pretty big fish. Lol @ the 3bet shove for 160bb with 66, but what is OTB doing calling with KQs there?

did you not see the part where this guy called the 4b jam with A5o like one hand earlier? The Baron probably fist pumps and beats Braer into the pot with KQs

In order to beat a fish, you must think like a fish. Otb takes that to heart. He will match the fishyness of his opponent.

I did, but I don't know man... I don't think OTB is ever in super rough shape, but he has ~2 BB in the pot and he has to call ~160 BB. He doesn't need 50% equity, but it's somewhere around 48% right?

Let's say fish 3! shoving over a min open has a range of: 22-TT, A2s-A8s, A2o-A8o, KQs, KJs, KQo, QJs, 87s, 98s, 109s. There's no premiums in there, and a couple hands sauce has dominated, and yet Sauce only has 48.32% equity against this range holding KQs. If you throw in KJo/QJo his equity goes up to 51%. Again, this is assuming fish never shows up with a premium hand or a suited ace better than A8s.

So, if Sauce has the stone cold read on what kind of hands BRAER_71RUS is doing this with, then it could be marginally profitable. And I guess he did, because he got it in very very very slightly marginally good (I think?) despite being behind 49-51 pre.

You have a solid level 1 approach to the hand TGIGGITY but are leaving out some important factors.

When you factor in the tilt equity you gain when winning, don't **** with me equity you gain from calling/showing the hand down, run god account equity, willing to gamble equity, suicide equity aka suicide your chips away, etc. etc.

It becomes a very clear call by OTB

Haha, love this chicagojoey. Metagame has never been my strongsuit.

Is there any chance he made a live read and just went with his gut?

Ran a few more calcs just for fun and even with premiums and excluding hands sauce dominates like Kjs he has at worst 45% equity against a reasonable 3! shoving range for a fishy player 3bet shoving 66. it's by no means horrendous or spew. just sick to call off 8k with K high pre after only putting in 110... but he is OTB

Dude he is THE otb baron. He can put in 100bb pre with 72o and still be +ev

I mean Braer is a whale, why would I want to call KQs all in for 160bbs preflop when I can just chip him away. Only reason might be to give him some loose action so he plays me again.

That mokoma vs limitless hand with flop overbet actually made my laugh out loud.
