Pokerstars moving away from Russia is a good start. How about 888 poker, GG poker and WPN network? Does the original poster AllinAgainstRussia or other people supporting this tried to contact these sites or their ambassadors to spread this message? Have people tweeted eg. Daniel Negreanu (ambassador of GG) to ban the russians on GG network? Has some one contacted Doug Polk or similar poker person with a lot of followers to make a video or post about this?

It was not the peaceful protests that overthrew the Yanukovych regime - it was what happened at the protests - the sniper fire aimed at the protesters. It is now widely believed to have been a false flag by the Azov Batallion. And there's videos of John McCain and Lindsey Graham visiting the Azov guys in Ukraine and laying out the plan for the next few years. With CIAs long history of taking out governments they didn't like accross the world, how can you shrug off such coincidence as some conspiracy theory? And as for Yanukovych rejecting what seemeed like a great deal for Ukraine economically - I don't know what your argument is. Nobody is denying Yanukovych was Russia's puppet, but on paper everything looks fine - he was elected and made a decision on a deal. He could argue that looking back it was a mistake.

Since this is uncharted territory for NVG, I am going to post this in both NVG open threads related to the Russia-Ukraine situation as it relates to poker and poker sites.

While the situation inescapably involves "politics", the NVG threads must be poker-focused. There are many other places for people to post their views on Russia, Ukraine, US, NATO, sanctions, etc, including 2+2's vibrant Politics forum.

If you'd like to express your views on the current question of whether Russians should be banned from online poker sites, this is your place. If you'd like to express your views on the larger Russia-Ukraine situation (or anything tangentially related), we kindly ask that you post your views elsewhere.

Half job done dear pokerstars.

PLEASE BAN BELARUS as well.

Since Russia and Belarus is basically the same country. I see no point in suspending Russia if you don't suspend Belarus.

I hope that all citizens of those two countries will have as limited options as possible. This is the only way that they finally open their eyes.

I perceive this and all other sanctions as necesarry evil, unfortunately there is no other way. We can't accept participance of those two countries in any sort of business, culture interaction.

This war is definitely the biggest humanitarian tragedy of XXI century.

I played a few O8 tournaments last night and noticed a few old russian regs i recognised. Conveniently located to Belarus ��.

Pretty scummy right. Watch out for this as that was just a few games so I'm guessing they have done this in mass. They really don't give a ****.

But why stars has allowed this is bizarre. If you take a stance to ban Russian players surely you have to ban Belarus no��
