Uk documentary featuring scottish comedian Hardeep somebody....he comes to vegas to play a televised game featuring a whinging Phil Laak amongst others...classic section where he asks Hellmuth to detect whether he's lying or not, he's 50/50 yet Hardeep kids him on that its amazing how he's reading into his soul. Turning up at Daniel Negraneu's pad in just a towel is quite amusing aswell....

Amarillo Slim - The True Gambler
http://www.cardplayertube.com/media/...bler_-_Part_1/

Whatever you think of Slim, theres no denying this is a great insightful look into the wilder side of gambling back in the day, and he certainly was the man....

The history of poker
http://www.cardplayertube.com/media/...oker_-_Part_1/

Quite a funny documentary that won't teach you much you didn't know but is amusing enough, funny look into "the big game" aswell....looks like a staged game for TV....

One Of A Kind - Rise and fall of Stu Ungar
http://www.cardplayertube.com/media/...ngar_-_Part_1/

Tastefully done documentary on Stu the kid by those who knew him best who are not afraid to bit their tongue and give it all straight from the horses mouth.....don't know why I find this so upsetting, certainly an eye opener for all degens!
The Amarillo Slim was awesome, I never really knew much about him. Thanks for posting that.

The Passionate Eye: Poker Face is really good. It follows poker players during the 2006 WSOP, mostly following the ups and downs of Fabrice Soulier's WSOP. He's a good dude and the documentary is well done.

It's an interesting view of players that you don't see on the commercial TV shows. Everyone from Doyle to Hellmuth to Matusow to Bobby Baldwin. Very entertaining.
Where can I watch this online at?

Accepting I'm not nearly as intelligent as the high stakes players in some of these documentaries is difficult.

I watched this last night and thought it was good. In a way it was depressing, but that's painting a true picture. It is depressing to go out there and whiff every event.

What I thought was really interesting was how Mercier and Hachem in particular had such unreasonable expectations going in. Because they were so hung up on winning bracelets and "proving themselves", they both ended up disappointed despite making good profits on the Series. If you go in too hung up on results, especially wins, you're almost guaranteed to be depressed once it's over.

^ "Inside the WSOP"

It's from 1999.
This one is very humorous and gives you a look at a lot of people you know ten years ago. This flick goes to show that visiting 1999 is like visiting another country where everyone is younger yet somehow much fatter and/or uglier (mostly both). This is only part one of four, so don't miss the other three. I also give this four out of five stars.
