I'm sorry, but the more this happens the better.

Too much shady and unregulated crap going on (non responsive support, delayed payments, bots allowed, etc.).

Unfortunately the only way to get it all under control and make online poker legit is for enough of these houses of cards to come down.

Good day for online poker IMO.

Thought I had heard of it, then realized this is not the same site as the long established 24h Poker on Entraction, which is still up and running.

so there is a 24poker and a 24hpoker?

Heard of 24h but not the other one. Seems a bit strange

You really have to wonder whether Microgaming look into these guys at all and what that means for the financial safety of the network as a whole.

I agree with your sentiment completely. I have been posting for years that Uncle Sam and the big name casinos are positioning for their cut.

But just because you don't want massive taxes doesn't mean you have to settle on shady organizations.

There are plenty of successful business models with strong independent regulation.

If the US goes massive taxes on top of massive rake you won't find me playing there because it is not financially viable.

BTW I am just a rec player, for those that grind for a living, I hope you have better options in the future.

LOL at governement regulation being there to protect players. Fulltilt.fr players have been paying roughly 2% extra rake to their governement in return for a regulated environment. Do you think a single Euro of that money would go back to the players if Fulltilt didn't pay out?

You say you would like regulation and paying tax to the government if it's not outrageous because you assume it will protect the players, I say regulation (as proven by countries that actually have it) in practice means filling the governments pockets while doing absolutely nothing when it comes to protecting the players.

What did I miss?

Sounds like another Eurolinx Ponzi.

This is tottaly ****ed for anyone losing money, 0% microgaming does anything or even offers sick bonuses on another skin. They are worthless from a network stand point.

I did? Where?

US citizens already pay taxes on winnings in the form of income tax.

If the US never came out with UIGEA, or black Friday, Americans would be playing on legit sites today.

Regulation is horrible for poker, if you think increased rake and segregated player pools is good for the game you are mistake. No regulation at all is much better because anyone can deposit and play where they want.
