Not really true back then. Errors in poker advice was not something I was expected to ignore. Especially on this website.

I think her role in actively covering up the defrauding of poker players in connection with Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet is fundamentally disqualifying. She falsely claimed generically that 2p2 forum posters were lying, when we fully disclosed and published all the underlying data to support our claims.

I am certain that she is a personally nice and friendly (eg, David's stories above. She sounds nice!) but given her roles in deliberate frauds, I do not think that any self-respecting community should accept her future participation without significant demonstrated repentance from her. This should include, at a minimum, returning profits she earned from defrauded customers who trusted her endorsements.

True. But since it describes her actions I am aware of accurately I like simple theories that account for the known facts. You of course might be aware of actions by her that this theory does not explain but as I am not I like simple theories that successfully account for all observed behavior. YMMV

Is this an undisputed fact?

Do you dispute it? If so what is your evidence? Given how involved you were in poker at that time; see your post about ignoring a book, I think you would know which side of honesty and thieving poker sites she was on.

You could be excused for thinking so. But I never had the slightest interest in poker personalities or what they were doing apart from the fact that the games they played were theoretically interesting. So, I ask again. Is it a fully accepted fact that Annie covered up for a poker site that she knew cheated?

I don't think there's any meaningful doubt about this in my mind.

I regret being unable to provide exact footnotes (this was around 15 years ago now!) but a reasonable summary of activities at the time is outlined here: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...sticky-251207/

Unfortunately, PokerNews/Flutter have removed from public view one of the more prominent interviews conducted by Annie after the allegations stopped being denied by the company: https://www.pokernews.com/news/2008/...andal-5283.htm

I particularly remember and resent her allegations that people on forums were lying about the cheating at AP/UB, since I felt that was targeted at me and other prominent members of the 2p2 community such as Noah Stephens-Davowitz and Serge Ravitch - and we published all the data at the time that anyone could look at and review!

I didn’t even realize that her involvement was up for debate

It has been too long and I am not sure why I decided to chime in, but nonetheless here it goes. Yes. Yes it is a fact Annie covered up for UltimateBet. I gave myself the unfortunate duty of listening to all her interviews and transcribing them. (The old fashioned way. Listening, pausing, and typing.) Her voices and lies are etched in my brain. I worked closely with ElevenGrover, as well as many others to dive into all of the cover-up.

ElevenGrover created this thread and I think you should give it a look: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...53/?highlight=

My first post in that thread: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/s...2&postcount=18

Annie Duke is the nut low, was a company shill and owner (Fluffhead LLC) who never gave any cares about the players and only her bottom line at any cost.

Josem, you are and always have been the man! I appreciate out few PM's and emails during the 2007-2010 timeframe. You are the man.

Welcome back, Mookman... I always enjoyed your bulldog-like insistence to keep UB's transgressions on the forefront over at PokerRoad.

I am glad that Trump slow rolled her on celebrity apprentice. Beyond deserved.
