if we're heading toward most states legalizing sports betting, it seems there should be some level of standardized KYC required to prevent rogue employees from charging $22mil to a corporate credit card. like, maybe after you rack up $1mil in deposits on a credit card you have to prove it's your line of credit and not the Jacksonville Jaguars'. that's just me though, and maybe it's totally standard (in Vegas, say) to turn a blind eye and rack up those sweet charges. it does seem like a double standard that they tried to recoup Bad Brad's hedge fund losses in Molly's Game but if the money was illicitly spent at DK/FD it's fair game and all on the jags...

i get gambling addiction and chasing losses, but $22m is absolutely absurd if you're submitting nonsensical lineups, running trains, and sometimes even blank lineups in the process. that does not add up to me. blank lineups in particular are not consistent with absolute degens who just want pure action. i do allow for the possibility that i just cannot comprehend the level of degeneracy. however, i wonder if at a certain point he realized he was never going to make good on the CC debt and arranged submitting bogus lineups in small field high stakes contests on the jags' dime in exchange for some cash kickbacks from some DFS sharps on the take. who knows
