I've been wondering for a couple years now why aren't sunglasses already banned from WSOP, EPT etc. Is it because you can't ban normal eyeglasses hence you have to allow all glasses?

With the advancements in Google Glass/Oculus Rift technology it's inevitable that more cheating will occur.

I'm really surprised to see this weird guy @ WSOP. Played many hours vs him at $10/$25 and 25$/50$ cash games in Cyprus. I heard some stories about him and got warned as well but could never be sure as he's a pretty big loser over here. Most of the time he plays with these sunglasses of his but from time to time he removes them. But even then, his eyes look unusual (maybe from some kind of infrared contact lens?) Anyway he's usually losing big. BUT, I remember some unbelievable sessions in which he totally crushed the tables (very suspicious considering his terrible skills) as mentioned by the players here. Last time we played, I asked for deck changes regularly and he quit the table at the end, avoiding my tables in next occasions. But I was suspecting of something 'extra', ink is probably what it is. Then again, cheating big and still losing?

I vaguely remember some years ago there was a poster on 2+2 who pretty much warned everyone about invisible ink & contact lenses/sunglasses used at poker tables.

He was more or less laughed at.

If I remember correctly he also said some other things which might be used in homegames that sounded pretty crazy like some kind of e-ink cards, that can change the actual value of the card via third party electronic devices.
And patents for not so random shuffle machines and so on. But those are totally different stories

An AC poker dealer once told me about her helping to catch two cheaters playing at Harrah's and that they got perma-banned from there. Of course since they were only cheating at poker the two were allowed to play at CET's three other AC properties. I'm sure things would have been very different if they had been cheating the house at blackjack or something and they would have been banned from every casino around.

Why poker rooms don't share a black book of poker cheaters is something I'll never understand.

Coca marked them by bending the corners of specific cards - aces and kings, i.e. 8 cards in the deck. He then had a perfect view of which opponents held or did not hold the marked cards, which he took full advantage of. If he found himself with someone in a hand and the flop was, for example, A-K-3 and the opponent did not hold any of the marked cards, he exerted pressure with overbets or directly All-ins, depending on the situation.

Everything came out only after the cards from the cash game were put into package and further examined. It was noticed that the marked cards "lay away" from the unmarked ones.
