Eden Rock’s Twitter Space is growing in popularity. Just about everyone in the poker world has popped in at one point or another.

His spaces are marathon sessions so it’s impossible to tune in all the time.

Here might be a good place to post worthwhile NVG heard/learned while listening.

Nor do I. It doesn’t really matter. I’m sure if we knew his name at this point (some know who he is) most of us wouldn’t “know” him.

He’s on like his 11th session. The last one went 24+ hours. It’s a cross between 24 hours news and late night talk show.

What I’ve learned about him listening:
He plays poker but not a pro. He consider himself an artist, musical mostly. He’s a struggling artist. He’s kind of a Howard Stern personality. At one point in time I think he said he was a prop player (in LA I assume.

Pretty sure his first name is Alexander. He said he’ll state his name at some point. Locals prolly know who he is, if not, if heard his name would know of him.

Unlikely most of us would have heard of him.

Just some good content here and there. I’ll try to think of anything worth reporting.

For those new to Twitter Spaces like me, they are basically podcasts on Twitter where listeners can request to speak. Spaces can’t be viewed on iPad or PC only phone.
Dunno about android tablets. Assume can’t there and only phones.

p.s. the link works now since he’s running a space. If you follow him, when he’s running a banner appears top of Twitter to listen to the Space. Once in, there’s a mic button bottom left to request to speak. There’s been some glitches with the mic and some have had to uninstill Twitter and reinstall. Indeed Joe Ingram was on a few nights ago and they tried to get Phil Galfond on and it wasn’t working for Phil. Joey had to get Phil on his own phone and PG and to basically talk via phone to Joey as relay. Total cluster. LOL.

Reading his first post I was certain it’s the same guy. Sounded like he talks. Post 16 in your link confirms it - he gives his Twitter handle and they match.

Maybe mods should change title to a general Poker Spaces. No real reason to limit it to Eden Rock’s. He’s been the most prolific this past week was why I chose title.

I’m fine if mods want to change title.

He's unbelievably annoying and provides no worthwhile commentary on any topic ever. All he does is chime in every 15 minutes to waste 30 seconds of everyone's time telling us who he is and that we are listening to his Twitter space.

The Galfond vs. Polk space was pretty entertaining

NVG is a beacon of information for things like high stakes poker and the upcoming WSOP. Creating and publishing VLOGs is a worthwhile skill.

Sitting in your house listening to people talk for 26 hours at a time is the behaviour of somebody clearly trying to fill a void in their life. I suggest you get help.

1) Ever hear of multitasking?
2) How do you reconcile vlogging with your point? Or are you just trying to solve the age old question “if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” And you actually don’t want us watching your vlogs?
3) You got the wrong guy, I’m retired in FL living my life pretty well if I must say.
4) Tonight’s space had a ton of “pros” opining whether or not solvers should be allowed between hands during tournaments. Might lead to rules changes or perhaps clarification of rules. Point being it’s not all fluff.
5) I’m a fan. Pretty sure I’m subscribed. If not I mos def will.

2 points were made in tonight’s Space that no one challenged that have me shaking my head.

1) Player A asked player B to stop using solver between hands during the tournament. It is not illegal to use, so long as not in a hand. The consensus was etiquette dictates player B should acquiesce to Player A’s request.

My reaction is in what world does player A’s right to request such of player B trump Player B’s right to refuse? No one said anything in this regard.

2) The consensus was players who use solvers between hands have an unfair advantage over others. No one argued they do not.

They didn’t seem to realize the illogic of that. It would be logical if other players weren't allowed to use them. But there’s no advantage when everyone has the same right to use. By their logic players who study and subscribe to training sights have an unfair advantage and such things should be banned. Using the same logic players with photographic memories have an unfair advantage and should be barred from playing. They can memorize push/fold charts etc.

What am I missing? Literally no one, and there were big names in Space (Deeb, Berkey,Dgens), argued what I think are logical (and therefore correct) points.

Don’t get me wrong there were many good points taken in Space tonight. Just that these 2 have me flummoxed.
