The difference is tortellini hid his chips from a table full of amateurs including a drunken fish in a wizard costume who had just stumbled into the table. Harabalos would not try to pull that on a seasoned pro like Rast. Clearly an accident

Turdelli is currently on Poker Night In America. There are a few people in chat calling him a cheater etc.

edit: I got banned for talking about his cheating in the chat. I didn't even swear or anything.

He just value owned in last hand and lost all his big denomination chips so no worry about him hiding those..... Until he takes more out of his manpurse and puts them behind his stack.

Ok, but you're agreeing that what actually happened (disregarding anyone's intentions) was essentially the same thing?

Yeah, I got a warning and my message was deleted, even there was no foul language.

Tortellini probably sold him some of his action at a "favorable rate"....he also complained that he was tired and fed up with all the negative Alec chat.

Obviously the reason nomolice can't/won't explain the difference is because at the point when the decision is on Wolf/Rast the two situations are totally identical.

Obv the "Oh did you not know" nonsense that follows is all dumb and its more than obvious Bob wasn't intending to angle in the slightest.

Alec Torelli is an Italian-American professional poker player and problem solver from Orange County, California. He started his first company, Doormat Delivery' at 14 but went All-In as soon as he discovered poker when he was 16 years old. At 18, he dropped out of SMU to pursue his dream of traveling and playing poker professionally. He has been to over 40 countries and competed in the highest stakes cash games, tournaments and televised events around the world.
Alec is the founder of Conscious Poker, a training site which helps aspiring poker players reach the next level. He currently travels the world full time with his wife Ambra and they divide their time between Italy, Asia, and the United States. Alec documents his life on his popular YouTube channel and blog. Through his content, Alec aims to empower people to create a life filled with freedom, excitement, and choices, and live on their own terms. Alec has attracted widespread online attention for his creative poker chip placement and his unsuccessful and misguided attempts to deflect public attention away from his televised fraudulent play, and towards his online defender YouTube Doug.

In before someone says it should be called Conscience Poker.

I actually feel that AT believes in his 8 tenets, so the video is not purely salesmanship.

However, I think the concept of playing poker in part to facilitate giving to the world and doing good is very flawed and that the ruthless, take no prisoners, parasitical, inflicting harm on others nature of playing successful poker is simply not compatible with being charitable outside of poker.

Winning, requires deep down being a very cold and heartless individual.

I still wish him well though with the objectives of his new venture.

Wow, if you feel that way I wonder why you're even in a poker forum. Here's how I look at it:

I have played a lot of chess tournaments. I walk in and give someone money (my buy-in) and if I place high enough (which almost never happens) I will win some money and make a profit.

I do exactly the same thing when I play a poker tournament. I hand over my buy-in, play for a few hours, and I try to make some money doing it.

There is no moral difference between the two.

I don't apply my view to live tournaments but I 100% apply it to live cash games.

My conclusion is based on having played full time for 3 years solid of live cash games and observed players' behaviour as well as what was needed for me to be profitable. It is all pretty ugly to say the least and I'd give the analogy that it's the mental equivalent of boxing.

One has to inflict as much pain on to others as possible without thinking about the impact on them or their welfare.

Chess for money is similar to a tournament.
