The actual hand motion was an honest mistake. The conversation with floor afterwards was the only iffy part. Iirc, ultimately the other player was agreed to continue the hand as played. The man's reputation as a gambler and that this one little infraction keeps people dogging him would surely be annoying.

Just fyi when someone inevitably replies to your post with "Hi Alec" it's because you display an ostensible obliviousness about these events that is matched only by Alec Torelli.

On twitter he's admitted it's his fault for his opponent not being able to see his chips, and goes as far as to saying he's sorry, but at the same time does not admit to owing anything, or gaining some kind of edge. It's like, you know, the first 100 of play at a $1/$2 NL game, someone might accidentally hide their chips. It is 100% angle to do it in a high stakes game.

Is he really trying to say it was an accident?

And, he has offered no mark-up stake for compensation. BUT, isn't it just possible that the other player doesn't want anything to do with him? Is he really that dense?

Yes, and it theoretically wouldn't entail any opportunity cost. I shouldn't say "compensate", but he has offered it for no apparent reason since he clearly didn't do anything wrong ( :eyeroll: ), but he clearly feels guilty about something!?!?!?

He's saying he won't give Wolf $5k or $10k because it's not the right thing to do. Even though his reputation is worth more than $1 million to him. He acknowledges that it would make people think more highly of him, and he's sad that he can't do it because he'll lose people. As if he's taking such a noble, principled stand.

So then why make the supposed offer of a zero-markup cash game equity? If he's a winning player, isn't that essentially like giving Wolf free money?

But in his mind there's a principle involved? Him admitting to damages? I don't think he can imagine that he harmed someone else.

I wonder what he wants to achieve with this. That's basically what he said in his response video already, nothing new. The chips were intentionally hidden and since he also went north and ADDED to those chips, he knew they were there behind the others.

For some lulz, visit Torelli's Facebook page and look how many people comment with references to hidden chips, etc. Then watch how quickly they disappear. If you time it right, you can almost see it in real time.

He responds to every positive comment or legit question (which I actually credit him for), but probably spends just as long scrubbing the place clean.

from watching daniels video he is pretty much saying an angleshoot isn't an angleshoot unless it works

for patrick anyway he said if the other guy turned over his cards then patrick said call then thats an angleshoot but because it didn't work it doesn't count as one i really don't understand how he came to that conclusion
