Yes true, and I am not condoning cheating, but poker is a dirty little business in many aspects and what he allegedly did is just one example of many bad, questionable, or unethical things done by many poker players and poker operators alike.

It looks bad on the poker community in large part because it's an accurate portrayal of how the vast majority of poker pros conduct themselves.

It was a total bag move but I sincerely hope his response is something along the lines of:

1) "and....?"

or

2) "it is what it is."

or

3) "The view of the table through a TV camera is different than the view live, he had a clear view of my big chips."

I've totally not read the thread, but torelli's castle surround his high value chips is hilarious... also how he pulls em out and asks about stacks is lol.

ikr his acting in awkwardly pulling them from behind the stack while not even knowing where he's moving them is hilariously bad. He 100% knew his chips were hidden and Wolf didn't see them.

Yeah, I agree, watching doug's video I can't believe he didn't note that tell. It's so obvious he was hiding them when he insta pulls them after getting stack commitment. Well my live poker reads/understanding of human nature usually sucks, but I picked up on that as well and thought it was pretty clear. Just reading about the chip smuggling stuff now.

Think of it as a Mad Lib:

"With hat in hand, I admit that I engaged in the act of [X]. I sincerely apologize, but you must understand: this was a high-pressure environment under unusual and extenuating circumstances. Under normal circumstances, [X] would not have happened. The quantity [X] has some range, and thus would elicit an equally wide range of responses. A few people would just say, "Sure, whatever, drop and give me 20 downward dogs, then let's move on." Others will banish him to a special place in hell previously reserved for Howard Lederer and Scott Tom.

I want to make another point regarding Torelli's offer to Wolf to sell him action at a discount. Alex Torelli in the thread recently linked had participated in a scheme where another player would repay a debt to him by secretly chip dumping with a bet sizing tell. It's very possible that this is a method by which Torelli scams people with a partner at the table.
