I'm gonna guess pauper is NOT an Alec fanboy, as he would know that this is precisely something Alec would do.

Not sure if it was a new episode or not, but on a PNIA I saw on Monday Torelli referred to himself, if I heard correctly, as "microstakes" when it comes to politics and how some people think they're midstakes about politics but really are microstakes.

Of course it's nearly always lame when people stretch poker vernacular to non-poker situations, but this might have been the "nut low" (pun intended) instance I've ever seen or heard, and of course it came from good old Alec.

Just noticed that he has removed the prices for his coaching services from his site. I wonder why. Maybe $12,500 to spend a Private one-on-one weekend workshop With Alex Tortelli, who clearly is the most awesome guy on this planet, sounds like a bargain too good to be true. Or maybe he just likes to hide stuff and surprise people, who knows.

He rebranded his coaching service.

Has been sending emails for a private coaching group.

Pro membership is $200 per month.

Yeah maybe there's some kind of secret hidden membership option.

Absolutely! Hope the option comes out in the open at an appropriate time to help our left-handed pro......errr, I mean for Wolfe.

I could never work with Polk, even if I knew nothing about the angle-shooting. The psychological affect is just way too much over the top.

I can work with with, or be around, pretty much anyone and I'm comfortable. I held local political office, I worked with addicts for 12 years, I was in the army for 23 years (two very different jobs) and I had a job where many of my co_workers had IQs above 160.

There is something about Polk that is creepy, I don't know how else to say it. He's over-the-top full of himself. Even watching one of his videos is just too much.

I don't know how long he will last in the poker world. The best poker players are the ones that know what they don't know, and fix it. I doubt that he has that gene.

Bruv I never said Polk is some saint.

We are talking about angling Alec here.

Please don't derail the thread. It's disrespectful to my boy angling Alec.

But how do you know that he doesn't know what he should know he doesn't know?

Also I didn't know that there was a gene that let's you know what you don't know. I guess that's a sublime way of saying somebody is mentally handicapped.

Maybe Alex can explain this. I'm sure he knew that he didn't knew his chips were hidden.

I don't know who Justin Rolland is.

Actually, it was one of my army jobs. I was a musician in an army band. There was an article I read somewhere which said that in a ranking of IQs by profession, chess players < physicists < classical musicians.

One of my favorites was a flute player named Patty. There were three siblings in the band. all a little out there, but she was the craziest.

She would try to sneak a book onto her music stand so that she could read when the flute part had rests. When we returned from playing in England, I introduced Patty to my wife at the airport and Patty said, "I tried to have my way with your husband, but he said no."

I had already described the family to my wife and she replied, "You must be one of the [last name omitted]."

I told her brother the trumpet player what she said to my wife and he said, "Yeah, that's my crazy sister. An IQ of 160 and she can't drive a freakin' car."

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Philip Glass. The music theory is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of minimalism most of the pieces will go over a typical listener's head. There's also Brubaker's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his interpretations of Glass - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Frank Stella's art, for instance.

The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these compositions, to realize that they're not just good music- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Philip Glass truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the music theory in Glass's existential arpeggio patterns in "Metamorphosis One," which itself is a cryptic reference to Steve Reich's Electric Counterpoint.

I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Glass's genius unfolds itself on their Spotify playlists. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Glassworks tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

you probably copy pasted and replaced. not impressed unless you can do it from memory. I'm tiny Rick!!!

Alec Torelli is most likely a psychopath but definitely has some sort of personality disorder.

Oh, you're not impressed? Okay, try this on for size...

WARNING: This post is only for 2+2ers with extremely high IQs.

Naturally, any intellectual is familiar with this iconic scene. Investigators from the Citadel of Ricks are shocked to discover that the rogue Rick was in fact an android. And even card carrying Mensa members of the Rick and Morty fandom could not have predicted that he was controlled by an evil version of Morty all along.

We all know this. But listen closely to Evil Morty's music...

This is from Blonde Redhead's fifth studio album (2000) Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons. This is an alternative rock band, not quite as mentally stimulating as Brahms or Tchaikovsky, but a fine choice of song for the credit roll.

But listen closer! Does this melody sound familiar to you? It won't if you merely dabble in chess or quantum mechanics. But if you're among the 99.99 percentile of intelligence quotient of Rick and Morty fans, it just might:

That's right. A 19th century masterpiece by Frédéric Chopin. Nocturne in F minor, Op. 55, No. 1 to be precise. Of course, I would never expect you plebeians to have caught that little detail.

I'M PICKLE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECK
