You can't create good games and force people to not only play differently but also play above what they are used to playing. It's easy to say "just force big antes" but the casual players in the game who barely knows standard holdem strategy now has to adapt to something out of their comfort zone putting them in tough spots even more frequently.

Does it make a difference if they already dont know WTH they're doing

We're out here in the woods alone, but I agree.
Well not all good players, through in a few fish. But the Hustler "We're a reality show" mantra and only caring about views has gotten old for me.

Watching 7 clueless whales button click doesn't do it for me, but again I understand I may be in the minority. Watching a winning pro 5bet A5s pre and getting another solid pro to fold QQ pre doesn't get the clicks that "UNBELIEVABLE SHOVE WITH BOTTOM PAIR SNAPPED OFF BY KING HIGH FOR $290,000!" gets

What are most other shows? I don't know any where the majority is top players or even half the table.

Ye i don't mind a rec or two. Otherwise top pros might not wanna play each other as there just isn't enough of an edge and look for better games elsewhere.
HCL is just a bunch of people with too much money lol

Things like vlogs, other streams, twitch, is more about winning money but HCL is more about enjoyment imo.

HCL is also about winning money, just not the players who plays

To be fair, a cash game filled with real good players would be pretty boring. There would be very few flops and rivers/showdown would be really rare.

Furthermore, to viewers, the play would appear very random (by GTO definition).

Not very entertaining.

I disagree as GTO can be to play super aggressive, it is not afraid to bluff jam to get folds. If you want to see more flops just add an Ante. I'm sure Top Pros can adapt their game to an Ante.

Keating apologized, so it's pretty clear he doesn't get a cut

No one know what happened behind the scenes though. They could easily have decided on a fee for appearances and then "officially" he apologizes

Like the next day or so Keating was already contemplating if he was too harsh on Ryan. He was also very high at the time.
Story checks out for me.
