so admo went to the bathroom while on his phone? or did he go there to get away from the people, which wouldn't make sense cause he left the bathroom without finishing his call. How could he not know how much he was going to donate before the tournament even started?

this is very wrong unless he gets to play 100 sngs THEN light the winnings on fire

AUFA is at best neutral ev after the 50% donation because the structure is a crapshoot, it's more about television time for potential sponsorships and schmoozing with celebs

A) What ever suffering any Africans are currently experiencing was not precipitated by Admo. if he were to choose not to donate to an African charity, he would not be causing suffering, just potentially not helping to avert it.

B) If any of this charity money made it to Africans, at least 30% of it, if not more, would have ended up in the pockets of administrators, and local warlords.

Why not just Have a slighty bigger than usual rake....say $5000 + $1000......the charity get the rake.......then when the deep cashers give money out of Choice, it carrys a bit more weight...and are then not lambasted when refusing hobsons choice.

While this could be true, it doesn't change the fact that players knew before entering that it was a charity tournament for Africa. So using the above as a reason for not donating seems wrong.

However, if it turns out that the negative publicity had any source whatsoever within AUFA then I would fully support Admo if he decided to just pocket the cash. Regardless, all parties involved really owe the dude a formal apology.
