The Angry Young Man thread, let me chime in:
It's sort of painful and sad to see so much hatred coming from guys who (at the least) tasted an extraordinary amount of success at a very young age. My poker career on the hand is a total mess, but I'm pretty happy day-to-day, and at least there is no one in the poker world who openly wants to kill me.
When I met Brynn (2007 I think, right before he turned 21), he was hanging out in his undershirt in a hotel room in Commerce with a mutual friend who (I believe) helped his poker game and helped Brynn build his bankroll. To me, Brynn seemed like an especially down-to-earth guy and my first impression of him was good.
I don't have any problems with Brynn in the present day, but his personality has certainly evolved, and I guess it's just a little disappointing to see all this vitriol from someone who I initially thought was a very nice and unassuming dude. I'm sure the missteps of his poker/backing career have caused a lot of stress in his life, but you guys really need to try and put things into perspective before going off and issuing death threats.
Jeff, chemical imbalance or not (I'm in the same boat), you don't seem to handle certain life issues appropriately at all, and you even seem to go out of your way to create extra drama/tension/violence as you go through life. Attempting to spit on someone in public is absolutely disgraceful and inexcusable, and anyone who comes to your defense on the matter is a good friend, but an ignorant one.
Maybe mix in a little Yoga with your weight lifting regimen?

All you coral tower lobby dwellers really sicken me.
^Vintage Thaaj, and an hilarious description of the subset of poker pros you have reminded us repeatedly that you dislike. But I don't get your hangups on the matter. Aren't you like really successful, well-organized and upwardly mobile in your own life? Why do you still take time out of your day to circulate negativity towards other poker players who have absolutely no influence on your existence. I don't understand why you'd take the particulars of this incident and use the opportunity to make sweeping statements, except that I think you derive pleasure in reminding everyone how much you hate MTT players.
Anyway, chill out people. You are some of the luckiest dudes on this earth, and it's some shameful **** to see you behaving this way.
