honestly good. Its my understanding that its much better to have no poker then poker ran by sketchy sites bypassing laws and laundering money.

You couldn't make money from Germany for like a decade anyway because they taxed it to death. If Gemany is ever going to regulate or join another regulated market they need to burn it all to the ground. It sucks but the government is either gonna get their piece or get bored about it and forget so it can be free again. Regulated markets is online pokers best hope

This doesn't make sense to me. How long has it been now that ACR is openly operating a gray market site ... ?

Now in response to a letter from the German government decide they're going to stop serving Germany? It doesn't seem to add up. If all it takes is a (threatening) letter to shutdown service to an entire country - seems poker operators would have stopped serving most countries by now - especially the USA. To be fair - most have stopped serving the USA ... but ACR obviously does serve the US.

I'm curious to know more about what went into this decision even though I'm not in Germany.

I wonder if its a licensing thing? They hold some licence in costa rica/cuba right?

If you can't see why this is happening, then you are either blind or you live in a cave and never come out to check on real life every now and then. And yes, other countries will be added at some point in the next year or so.

I don't see any reason why WPN is now ending service for german players, as they could just continue their service and generate more rake, like they always did?

Also, does anybody know of a good place to play as a german refugee, preferrably with rakeback?

So much this. Makes no sense at all to leave germany but not other heavily regulated markets (Switzerland, Usa etc)

It doesn't make any sense especially if you consider that for now if u play on a wpn skin like pokerking, support is saying that Germans for now can continue.

Just odd. Only reason could be that acr wants to apply for German license soon.

ya of course its always about licenses or future licenses. Thats why you cant play on legit sites . Some sites gamble by allowing americans but if they do that they will never be licensed. Acr decided germany is closer to regulating then usa. Probably good news for germans tbh. But it could also be because of germans weird tax stuff

I also wrote to Pokerking support yesterday and they also confirmed me that Germans can still play there, besides the acr closing.

However, my affiliate partner had different information about this and nobody here agrees either so how do we find out?
