I am pretty sure i used some random streamers code for deposit bonus when i signed up, does this mean he has access to my account now? A lot of misunderstanding in the thread how agent networks work. Its not the same as affiliate in a way that you use a code/link and you are tracked to you affiliate who doesn't handle your deposits and withdrawals.

Majority of agent networks from Super agent down to agent have admin rights in agent backoffice that enables them to edit accounts and withdraw/deposit money. That way they can provide players with debt and just withdraw money from accounts when they want to settle debt with player or they need to deposit to other players and cant top up in time.

It all comes to this :Super Agent have a lot of credits on his account (from deposit, loan from operator ,commission), he sells it to agents who sell it to players, and earn commission also in credit which they liquidate by selling to players to get cash.

There is always a lot of debt going on so agents need that access so the players couldn't just withdraw money without paying back. Also agents mostly can get cash just from super agent (when he deducted it from their account) so its a closed circuit. Its either that or they resell credits to player, they cannot withdraw that money directly from operator.

Players doesn't withdraw directly from site, they call the agent ask for a withdrawal and agent withdraw the money from player account to his agent account , pay out the money and resell the credits , or settle it on the end of month with super agent (sell the balance to him to get cash)

Its not some safety glitch its basically how agent networks work.

Yes, but player that are using agents to depo/with should have known this.

Yes that should be obvious but if an agent gives directions to person where they can deposit directly it’s not so clear.

They could pose as an affiliate, “Choose me for x% rakeback and my free lesson to stop losing so much money with pocket tens!”

I see a lot of users here on 2+2 offering better rakeback options. I always wondered why there was an uptick in new 2+2 users with no history or posts offering users better rakeback...i guess this is why? A scam?

Before OP got his money back I was thinking that this was one of the easiest thefts of a somewhat substantial amount of money that I’ve ever seen.

Get one client who has no idea who you are and is in a different country. Change a password and swipe 500K easy and done. Very little work and risk.

It is GG who sends the funds from the Agent/sub-agent account to whatever address he wants outside. This is a very important point. They failed here because a simple system where the player authorized the transfer to his agent was probably enough.

If they paid, it's solved. We all would hate to be in this situation

GG poker is trash. They froze my account.. I send some emails. They unfroze it.. then I cash 10k twice in a weekend and they straight banned me for the same **** they unfroze my account for.. they still owe me 2700. It’s not a ton but it’s been years and I know they’re ****in any pro they can if they want to. Don’t play on GG it’s simple.

A few things have been quite evident in this thread, there are haters that can’t see past “high stakes pro+large sums of money and public exposure of sensitive situations generally gets resolution.

Seems like even though GG tried to keep this under wraps and out of the public eye, if N9 didn’t come out and keep pushing he likely wouldn’t have achieved the resolution he did.

If this happens again I certainly know what action i would be taking, this thread should be stickied here for everyone to see , forever.

Since you seem to have a understanding of this, how can we as players know if we have a account under a agent or a affiliate?
Or said otherwise, how can i find out if anyone but myself has access to my account?

1 - This internal payment system exists in other networks (Agents must have the account verified and that includes ID+Address...how do you think GG solved this?)

2 - This system has existed for over 1 year in GG, If most agents there were thieves we would know by now

3 - It's surprising that there will be both honest agents and scammers. The same for players, priests, politicians..Or even our relatives...

4 - GG failed - Yes. They returned the money, which is relevant, but they could have done better

5 - I still remember the Pokerstars supernova elite scandal or how to steal over 15 million euros of the players' money faster than pressing a button

I am happy this was solved and I can only imagine what you been through but you are being too generous I think players should be the ones sending you some money


It was probably thanks to you and what you have been through (The amount of stress this generates could lead to cardiac arrest!!) and your will that justice was made that the major site in the online poker world decided to improve his safety protocol, this will be better for all. So imo leave your favourite charities or BTC address and let's do this the right way )))
