4th Round Approved, again paying people who filed after the deadline. Meanwhile, I can't get an update at all on my claim that was filed well before.
Quote:
GCG has been informed that the Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section of the Department of Justice (MLARS) has approved a fourth round of payments to Petitioners who confirmed their Absolute Poker / Ultimate Bet account balances after the initial September 7, 2017 filing deadline and Petitioners who have disputed their Absolute Poker / Ultimate Bet account balances. The distribution will include payments to 494 Petitioners with awards totaling $133,005.04.

Payments will be made via electronic ACH to Petitioners residing in the United States and via foreign currency check to Petitioners residing outside of the United States. In cases where a foreign currency check cannot be issued, the payment will be made via USD check or foreign currency wire depending on the Petitioners country of residence.

Within the next few weeks, GCG will be sending an email notice to all approved Petitioners that contains the amount and method of their payment. For Petitioners scheduled to receive their payment via electronic ACH or foreign currency wire, the email notice will also include instructions for submitting the required banking information needed for payment.

GCG will also be sending an email notice to certain Petitioners who were approved for payment and were identified as having a delinquent debt qualifying for collection through the Treasury Offset Program. Payments for these Petitioners will be reduced in order to satisfy their debt in part or in whole. To receive the balance of their payment, Petitioners must provide GCG with the information required to complete a Unified Financial Management System Vendor Request Form. Instructions on how to provide this information will be included in the email notice.

Specific questions regarding outstanding debts and offset amounts cannot be addressed by the Department of Justice or GCG. To obtain information on your individual debt, you must contact the Treasury Offset Program at (800) 304-3107 or visit https://fiscal.treasury.gov/fsservic...p/debt_top.htm for additional information.

Petitioners should continue to check this website for updates regarding the payment process and this administration.

Same here as well. 44k in account, but set to $0 because I was tagged as an affiliate. I had signed up an account, but never used afaik other than to maybe give myself some rakeback. I supplied them with a letter of explanation, graphs from PT, and a raw hh file with 250k hands covered 5+ years of play to prove that I was a winning player on the site. I've been exchanging emails and calls with GCG for years. Still no word on my claim, I call CGC every few months and hear the same thing... "we haven't received any update from the DOJ".

This all started 4+ years after AP went down, so I really don't know how most people are supposed to still have documentation proving their "innocence" at that point. The fact that I had ALL my PT data and screenshots of my cashier I would think should put me as one of the easiest disputes to approve. Gubment at work...

Any news from anyone? Still haven't heard a peep about my claim.

Haven't heard anything. I have called 3 times since 2019 and the phone reps as usual cannot provide any information beyond the FAQ. Very frustrating as we are coming up on 2 years.

Got an update on my claim on Friday.

Per a phone call, my account was locked due to login failures waaay back and my claim was denied because of this. It seemed like it was due to someone trying to login to absolutepoker using my name, but the person on the phone didn't even know if it was me logging into absolutepoker or absolutepokerclaims. I was instructed to follow up with the info@absolutepokerclaims.com.

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end. I'm hoping this is a simple unlock and confirmation of my identity, which should be easy enough. Honestly not even sure if it was me who failed to login or if was someone else. It was so long ago.

Just in case someone else is still having issues, I got a small update on my situation.

Initially when I got information, I was told that I was "blacklisted" and that there was no appeal. That didn't make sense, as no one told me that I was "blacklisted". Took awhile, managed to find someone that wasn't a pure drone repeating what was on the screen. Turns out that I was "blacklisted" but this was still something you could appeal. They agreed that it sounded like a login issue.

Unfortunately, they said that they asked for more information from the DOJ. Since the DOJ took 2 ****ing years to decide my account had been locked due to login failures, I'm not confident in hearing back any time soon.

I have been steadily reaching out to them 2-3 times each month. I received the email below in late April.

It seems June is the month we might hear an update on disputes. This has been a grueling wait. I was a legit full-time poker player for years and had lots of money in my AP and UB accounts during Black Friday. Don't judge me. What I am most concerned about is the review process. The closest to definitive proof of what my account balance was for both sites, is from my loads of emails to the AP UB management mentioning the exact amount I was distressed about. And any other dated communication or other files I could find. What I really need is the table ratings.com database from that time period... This was the only site to track AP and UB games even up to BF. Any chance anyone has insight into this? PM or message here.

At this time, your claim is still under dispute review. Once a determination has been made, we will contact you. We expect that determinations will be made no later than June of this year.

Please let us know If you have any further questions.

Best Regards,

Settlement Administrator (JB)

AbsolutePokerClaims wrote this to me yesterday.

We expect that all 4th wave payments will be distributed by end of this month, and all remaining payments (including yours) are to be distributed by end of June.

Fingers crossed

Got a message about something happening really soon too. It will offer an opportunity to appeal my blacklist decision (which apparently happened because I tried to login and my account got locked because the two factor authentication wasn’t working anymore)

Supposedly we are going to get an e-mail notice once the funds are put on the way/transfer approved. I haven't asked nor received any updates since end of May though.

I was still left in the dark until about 3 weeks before the deadline of June 21st. I spoke to one of the guys who actually communicates with the doj , supposedly. He informed me my petition would not be honored because my information was insufficient.

I sent in over 100 forms of various communication with the remissions team. I showed lots of communication before and after Black Friday. The communication after BF showed me arguing about my exact amount, directly to the security team of AP; How does this not show strong enough proof?

I forwarded official emails from when I attempted to cashout 2 weeks before black Friday actually hit(they told me I need to show a bank statement of that time period showing the deposit never reached my account). Which is total bull**** because a. I dont have access to nor are able to retrace what account it was and how to access it, b. anyone could make that up and they would still have no way to uncover.

The one thing they did ask for was bank statements. How would any bank statements show when everybody's account had the rug pulled from underneath them. No bank statements after April 2011 would show any activity, think about it.

I am curious as to if any one will successfully earn a petition...

End of April they said "You should receive your payment no later than June" via email but there will be no payment in June (at least to me). Just got off the phone with them - now they say "by next month". Kinda in-between of feeling like I shouldn't waste any more of my energy on this bs or calling and e-mailing them every day to annoy them into paying me.

You’d just be bugging people who have no power over the situation. Payments and actual actions come from the doj not the management company you’re talking to

When black Friday happened, my friend who had some connections within AP consolidated all our funds into his account. He's based in New Zealand and just managed to track down the 104k check that was dated September 2018 which happened to be sent to rural post office instead. He had no problem cashing the check but apparently the bank is awaiting a response from the other institution that is responsible for clearing the money. So we continue to wait...I mean, its been so long anyways. It's at least close to being resolved. Knock on wood.

Will update once money is actually cleared.

I got my 2 checks for AP and UB like year ago, but I cant cash it, because nowhere near this is doable. I live in Belarus and traveling to do that to Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia. I guess that sounds like a lot of fun and it was tho. Unfunny only that I still didnt have my money.
I send to them by email details of account at payoneer and they ask me to wait and they didnt know for how long.
Im only worrying if payoneer account is fine to get money.
Maybe some one get money same way already?
