Not all banks accept checks, so you have to find out which banks in your country do. In Switzerland it shouldnt be a problem I guess? Some will pay it out only if you have account with them though

They told me I had a delinquent debt and my remission payment has been sent to the treasury for them to sort out. Is there any additional information regarding this process? I have called the number provided by the Garden City Group (800) 304-3107 but it is only an automated system that lists 0 debts in their database for my ssn.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Well 1 wire reported in this thread does not necessarily mean other wires did not go out today.

Since Sept 29th when most players in first wave got paid I have been calling garden city group 855-907-3254 every week for an update on my situation. When I call the treasury offset number it would also say no debts just like you which was frustrating. On Friday a managerial guy from GCG called me from an unusual number and told me I can call him any time whatsoever for an update on my situation. Basically the US Marshalls were in over a week ago sorting out of the TOS payments. The path is DOJ gets the money then TOS then Marshalls distribute it. He said I will be getting my payment shortly and everything is filled out good and ready to go. I said when and he said by the end of the year but could not say with 100% confidence. I told him if he doesn't mind I will be calling him every week for an update just like I was bothering the GCG people every week. He said cool but hopefully payment is coming really soon and that won't be neccessary

Grunching but a few Q's about this whole thing as I haven't followed it closely:

1. Have they released just what the total $-amount locked up on UB/AP (or being remitted) actually was?
2. Just where is the money for this remission coming from...from the same $731M Stars settlement they paid out FTP remissions from?
3. Is this remission only for US players? How about ROW...are they getting their $ back too?
4. Any reports about how they're treating ppl who bought up all that AP/UB $ for pennies on the dollar just prior to the sites shutting down? Fairness would dictate that they should get 100% of their balances, but I could see how Remission agency might not be quick to refund 6-7 figure balances, 95% of which came from interacct transfers just prior to shutdown...

4. Who are the consensus biggest-winners from this? I remember a handful of guys going around buying up balances for $0.10 - $0.30...seemed like at least one dude was well into the high-6-figures if not more.

I was actually surprised that they allowed me to file a claim for the full "inflated" balance without asking any questions. Overall they were very helpful throughout the process. I got a decent ROI out of it but not exactly 2011 bitcoin ROI.

I gave my bank info when I applied awhile back but got an email saying I will receive a cheque in the mail, I am in Canada. Is it only US accounts receiving bank transfers?
