Not absurd at all. It will take some 3 weeks or more to clear the checks and in some countries, like mine (Estonia), banks don't even accept checks anymore. I have to take a ferry to Finland and open an account in a Finnish bank to get my money.

The test deposits "disappearing" from bank account history is nothing unusual. They are not actual transactions - just GCG testing the bank info before making the actual payment transaction. It's nothing to be concerned about. If the pattern of payments from the FTP remissions hold true, the actual transactions will be sent out this Friday, and will appear in bank accounts this Friday, Monday or Tuesday.

Ya it's awesome that we tie "victims" get paid back even after row victims, thanks heaps govt I really appreciate this and I'll be sure to be completely honest in all my dealings with you going forward, thanks for teaching me how life works. Ilearned a ton about govt in general from bf, especially watching the legislation efforts from and in the state of CA where I live, indians etc, ya lol...
Any US resident receiving a remission payment will have that payment garnished if the person owes a debt under the Treasury Offset Program:

The "4 to 6 weeks" for issuance of your remission payment starts now (from the date of providing your banking info, per the emails from GCG). But they could surprise you and do it quicker.

Does anybody have anyway that I could look up whose name is associated with this account?

Yikes, that's an early start. Be interesting to hear what former fulltime regs who now work in 'proper' jobs are doing nowadays.
I had a job as a polymer scientist prior to playing poker for a living so I've gone back to doing something similar albeit in a more commercial role.
am enjoying it and it's quite refreshing to get a guaranteed income each month as opposed to going to work and losing a bunch which was never easy to get used to!!

Re: Absolute Poker / Ultimate Bet victim remission

I'm in Canada. Received an email Aug 18 saying they would send the cheque in 2-3 weeks. Had to call them Sep 19 because I hadn't received it. They said that I wasn't on the list of people it was sent out to, and they don't know why I was sent that email. So they called me back the next day after inquiring what happened, and told me it's going to be sent in 2-3 weeks and that's all they know....God dammit, Leroy.

Each bank has its own policy in regards to funds availability for ACH transfers. In most cases, once the ACH transfer process is complete, incoming ACH transfer funds are available either the same day or the next day, unless the receiving account has been open for less than 31 days.
