Haven't yet received the email requesting ACH transfer though. I've called them three times since 8/18, and they can't provide me with an update. Each person I talks to says someone will be in contact, but I haven't yet received a follow-up call or email.

I've also emailed the info@ account and did not receive an email back. I checked my spam folder -- nothing.

Kind of frustrating, but I'm guessing I just have to wait until a future wave of emails goes out. #Patience

Did you sign into the site with the petition and control number and file your request?

Yes, I did. When I enter my Petition # and Control # through the Online Filing page, I get this message:

"You have already submitted your Petition. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to update your Petition or submit additional documentation, please email us at Info@AbsolutePokerClaims.com."

When I try to update my banking information, I get this message:

"You are not able to enter banking information at this time. Please contact us with any questions."

I also received the same email others have received from info@absolutepokerclaims.com:

"Thank you for your email. At this time we are unable to provide a timeframe for distribution. Please continue to check the Administrations website www.absolutepokerclaims.com for updates. Please note if your Petition is approved by the Department of Justice you will be contacted directly to collect your banking information required for electronic payment."

I just successfully updated my banking information. I think I'm in the first wave (U.S.) I got an email 12 days back that told me to update it and it went smoothly (I wish I had noticed the email 12 days earlier...doh!). *fingers crossed*

"By properly submitting your banking information, you will receive an ACH payment in the amount of $7,965.10 to the account number specified. This payment represents the full amount of your Absolute Poker / Ultimate Bet account balance which you confirmed on the Absolute Poker Claims Administration’s website. Payment will be issued within four to six weeks of submitting your information, so please submit your information as soon as possible."

The money funding these AP/UB payments in essence are from the settlement with PokerStars. The federal seizures and indictment against FTP and Pokerstars on Black Friday also included AP/UB. All the funds collected by the government (accounts seizures, asset seizures, monetary settlements) from this DOJ action comes under one legal umbrella for the remissions. I believe the PPA also influenced the DOJ to view it this way, to include the AP/UB players in the remissions process.

I updated my bank information on the petition site on August 18 after getting the email. Still waiting on it to hit the bank, it didn't say when to expect it to arrive.

Hey All,

The email I had on file with Absolute Poker is dead so I filed a petition with my name/id/old email. Went through the whole process, input my new email, confirmed the amount etc. I never received any confirmation email from anyone, is that normal? When I go to the website and try to login it says that you've already submitted your petition.

I called the number today to confirm that my petition had been received and they basically couldn't help me at all.

I emailed them just a second ago, not sure if there's anything else I can do? Anyone got any advice or deal with anything similar?

Have any of you been able to get any requests granted/confirmed from the CGC in regards to:

-Asking for the funds to be transferred via ACH within US to a friend/family member
-Asking for an international wire instead of a check
-Changing from a "foreign currency" check to a USD check
-Asking for the check to be mailed to a more reliable address than the one you filed with (mainly to avoid bad local mail service and not receiving the check)

If their timeline is accurate the checks could be sent out anytime over the next 7-14 days. I just received an e-mail today that was my inquiries were under review.

Does anybody know if the checks that us ROW players get sent are provided by the CCG only or by a bank.

My bank says that they only cash out the check if it is given out from a bank.

ROW Player here, I got the same problem as some people ITT.

Last week I was wondering why I didn't receive any update yet, I emailed them if they could give me an update about my status, they quickly replied and told me that no petition was filed under my name + petition number and that I should apply again.

I mailed them back with proof of the the email they have sent to me in April, that I successfully applied for petition and I also told them that I can't log into the petition page anymore because I'm getting this message:

"You have already submitted your Petition. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to update your Petition or submit additional documentation, please email us at Info@AbsolutePokerClaims.com."

I tried to contact them a couple of times now, but it's total radio silence for over a week now, which quite frankly freaks me out a bit.

Not a good sign. But legally, they cannot skip paying you entirely due to a technical glitch in their system, as long as you have filed before the deadline (and you have the proof). You should be able to sort it out with them eventually, although it's quite possible that you won't be included in this wave of payments. The complete remission process will continue for many months yet to get all claims processed and paid.

The thing is, I'm concerned they legally can.

That's the email I got in April:

Dear XX,

The purpose of this email is to confirm that you have successfully filed your Petition for Remission. If you have any questions please contact the Claims Administrator by calling toll free at (855) 907-3254, or emailing us at Info@AbsolutePokerClaims.com.

Please be advised that submission of your Petition for Remission does not guarantee that you are eligible to participate in the Absolute Poker remission process. All payments are subject to approval by the the Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section of the United States Department of Justice.

Thanks,
Absolute Poker Claims Administrator

As I said, you cannot be denied strictly for "a technical glitch in their system". You wrote that they claimed that you did not file a claim, but you did. Whether or not you are eligible for a remission is another matter - but so far they aren't telling you that your claim was denied by the DOJ for cause.

Given everyone was receiving emails and I didn't get any I have decided to ask them what was the status of my petition and this was the 2 answers I got (I sent 2 emails asking).

first answer :

Hypergeometry -- US player here who filed my petition immediately but wasn't in the first wave of payments. I haven't yet received the email requesting ACH info. I've received those exact same emails you have.

Stay patient, you guys. We've waited over 6 years so far. What's a few more weeks?

Hi,

I just filed for remission and realize it's past the bar date by 4 days now . I did get a Petition and Control number, however. It didn't let me add bank info though. Am I good, or am I too late? I'll be horrified if after this finally happens, I get left behind . I'm broke now and they owe me $6200

when they say "issued" they mean that they write the check and post it in the mail?
