I'm an ROW player and just now got the email. I entered "000000000" as my non-existent SSN to get past that screen, and my balance listed was correct. 78 dollars I had written off completely.

She apologized over and over that she was going to have to call me back and I told her I have already waited 6 years for my money so what's another day or two. We had a good laugh.
Thank you.. Please report back thanks

I also updated my address. It seems like a worst case scenario for a check to be sent to that address. But if we weren't supposed to change it, I would imagine this causes a great deal of havoc for many players.

Woah this had my balance at $2200. Luckily my account address was my parents house, which is the same as 2011. Wonder what the odds are we get paid out.

I filed the claim, and immediately e-mailed them asking for an address change within 30 minutes of filing the claim. That's what I was advised by a supervisor. That's what I did.

I was initially advised by the support person to just update my address before i filed, but his supervisor differed. I really don't think it's going to make a huge difference, but i figure if they have an established protocol for changing addresses by e-mail, why not use it if they are unclear (they were) about whether we are supposed to be confirming our address with AP/UB or updating to a current address.

Logically, if they made the fields editable, then it should be fine to edit them. But who the **** uses logic.

Why do they need SSN? I'm not too comfortable giving out my SSN like that. What are you guys doing about it?

I put the SSN as 00000000 just to check my balance first, and now I can't change it. Should I email them with the correct SSN?

I received two e-mails, first must have been for my UB account because it only had 65 cents, 2nd e-mail was for AP account with correct balance. I'm RoW so after looking at the FAQ I put my ITIN in the SSN line. From their FAQ:

If you are a U.S. citizen, or if you are not a U.S. citizen but you have a Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number, you must provide it when you file your Petition. If you are not a U.S. citizen and if you do not have a Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number, you must so declare under penalty of perjury when you file your Petition; you must also provide documentation evidencing your citizenship, such as a valid passport, by sending a copy of the document to the Claims Administrator either by email or mail. Do not send originals.

I'm still wondering about this too. The only legitimate reason I could see them asking for this is so they can report something to the IRS, but I don't see why that would be necessary, or what they would even report.

I presume they also asked this for FTP players, and I haven't heard of anything bad happening.

Just got an email advising me of eligibility!
I think the information is wrong though, its a very very old address. I think I may have had 2 Absolute accounts, hopefully thats not an issue - an old account that I closed/stopped using when I opened a new one for rakeback or something

What are ROW players putting in the SSN field? I had an ITIN number from the WSOP about 7 years ago but have no idea what it is and I believe it expires

I updated my mailing address on the form prior to submitting, then emailed them to f/u hoping it wouldn't cause an issue. I don't see how this would be an issue, but wtf do i know., below is their response:

Dear Mr. *****,

Thank you for contacting us. We noticed your petition has been successfully submitted. The address listed on your Petition is ********** if this is not your current address, please provide your current address in response to this email and we will update your address accordingly.

Please let us know if you have any other questions

Nothing is unclear about the address situation. Change the damn address. Why do you think they give you the option to do it. You people are all idiots and this is why it's going to take 2 years to get our money because you call them 50 times a day and e-mail them about stupid **** you should have been able to figure out with half a brain.

Your like those dbag kids who raise their hands at the end of class and ask stupid questions and everyone has to sit and wait because your an idiot.

And half of you are tools are getting like 50 bucks.

ROW player here. Just found the original notification email in the spamfolder of my old UB-emailaddress. So if you are ROW I think we were sent emails a day later than USA players. Check your emailaddy on file!

Logged in and my balance was correct to the cent. Weeee!

Sent them an email about the address change and the social security number thing.

They provide specific instructions to email them for address change, which makes it very unclear that changing your address on the form is what you're actually supposed to do.

lol, this but a little harsh. seems pretty clear they're asking for address to streamline the process and SS# to verify identity.

think we'll be paid by november? what was the timeline on stars/ftp after remission application deadline?

I bet I'm the other half getting more than you by a good bit. 10k HU yo? ;-)

The address situation _is_ unclear. They tell you when you enter in your Petition/Control #s on the very first page to email them if you're updating anything. So, I did that. But in the FAQ it tells you to call or email. So I called, too. Then, when you call and ask if you should update before proceeding, they literally don't ****ing know.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, read some of the posts of people who called in. Notice how everybody was told something different. My girl's response was essentially: "I don't know."

We have until June to confirm funds. I'll let y'all be guinea pigs. The people being careful are the people with a lot to lose. Commonsense says you should be able to update your address. But government bureaucrats and lawyers don't always leave a lot of wiggle room for commonsense, do they?
