As Garden City Group is largely done processing Full Tilt Poker remission claims (most remaining work is in reviewing appeals), they have been authorized by the Southern District of New York to accept and process claims for former Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet players. Affected players can file for remission at www.absolutepokerclaims.com

PPA has reached out to SDNY verbally and in writing several times since the April 15, 2011 U.S. shutdowns of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, encouraging them to treat all funds obtained as a result of actions associated with these shutdowns as aggregate (i.e., a single pot of money), as the funds all fall under a single case -- United States v. PokerStars, et al. As the representative of U.S. players before SDNY, we are very pleased that our recommendations have been accepted and that, at long last, many U.S. players will be made whole.

Neither GCG nor SDNY has released information on the amount of money available for AP/UB remission, but the press release does state that, in the PokerStars settlement, PokerStars agreed to forfeit $547 million. It also states that over $118 million in payments have been made to Full Tilt Poker players. Even factoring in the costs of remission processing, this seems to indicate a sizable pot, so to speak, for the AP/UB remissions process. PPA has reached out to SDNY for official word on the amount of money available for remissions, but it seems likely to be sufficient to cover expected claims.

We will keep everyone informed of new information as it becomes available. PPA looks forward to serving as an advocate for the players throughout the remission process, as we did for the Full Tilt Poker remission process. No. Whatever figures the DOJ has it has not released them.

But it is highly likely that substantial amounts of money are still available as it was widely reported that the FTP remission process would leave a lot of money left over.

The SDNY press release states, “under the terms of the settlement with PokerStars (the “PokerStars Settlement”), the company agreed, among other things, to forfeit $547 million to the United States,” and “Payments to Date of Over $118 Million to Full Tilt Poker Victim Players.” That could leave over $400M or so available, depending on the costs associated with processing FTP claims. That, of course, assumes they treat FTP and AP as aggregate, as it all falls under a single case (United States v. PokerStars, et al.). That’s the position PPA argued with them back when the initial FTP remission was initiated, but it’s not clear if SDNY is using that approach.

GCG or SDNY have not released the amount available yet. And, of course, there’s the matter of remaining FTP appeals which could impact the available AP remission funds to some degree. Of course, given the amount remaining, it’s hard to see that being a big percentage.

No, but in somewhat related news, we have reports that GCG had information on balances for players who filed for remission.

We are seeking clarification on the status of UB players.

We have heard from 21 players, all of whom had their balances prefilled by the remission site when applying. So, it seems they have the info. If correct, players should not have to submit further proof.

Just did my claim. All of my info was in there once I entered my player ID, email and last name.

What about non US citizens? I havent received an e mail, cant find an option to choose different country except US on the claim filing site as well.

I just heard from a UB player whose account balance was prepopulated when he tried to file at the AP remission site. Good sign for sure. We'll post when we have official clarification.

it says i have a 7000 dollar balance which i'm not 100 pct sure was right but seems close

@PokerPlayersAlliance tweeted that the remission process is open to ROW players but I'm also unsure about how to go about claiming through that site.

I received an email and my info was populated in GCG's system.

I was on UB and received 2 emails. One went to my inbox and another went to my spam folder. Just filled out the form, my contact info was prepopulated and the balance was correct. Good sign for sure.

I emailed the claims admin hoping they can clarify with the limited information I do remember.

Will there be any way to get a spreadsheet of our balances/account activity similar to FTP? I did a withdrawal a few days before BF and then a couple BF panic cash outs that I don't think our indicated in the account balance GCG shows. It's been so long I don't remember it all though (although I do have emails of the cash out requests).

American here. I received an email, on the website it showed my email address on file for AbsolutePoker, but it showed my username for UltimateBet. The balance reflected my UltimateBet balance at Black Friday. My AbsolutePoker balance was significanly higher and is not shown.
