I am just guessing that since it's an american company dealing with remissions that they can only do the bank wires in the US, so they send row checks.

Just guessing

When to except the checks from the second wave for ROW players?

Hey guys... received a 4k cheque in the mail today!

Does anyone know if we can write off any losses/expenses against this amount to reduce taxes? I had made no deposits in 2011 (and barely any before) so all of this money was profit.

UK? I thought you didn't have to pay taxes on gambling.

I asked at Info@absolutepokerclaims.com I received this answer.

"Thank you for contacting us. The check has not been sent yet. We currently do not have a specific timeframe for the next distribution."

So it seems checks of the second wave are not yet issued and send.

Hey guys,

I am from New Zealand and never received an email and just found out about this now by chance.
I filled in my claim on the website and they had my balance perfect.

Just wondering since I missed the deadline what my chances are of getting paid. I received this email "Although GCG is still currently accepting Petitions, late filings will be subject to review at a later date and at the sole discretion of the Department of Justice. You will be contacted via email if and when your Petition is approved."

I asked them but only received a generic answer saying it was up to the DOJ. Anyone here have an idea of chance and timeframe?

Is there any other ROW player still waiting on his check (first wave / Austria, check was issued 13/11/2017)? I'm waiting more than 7 weeks now and I'm thinking about getting the check re-issued.

If someone has experienced such a delay and tried to go for a re-issue: does anyone know whether they are offering a shipping method with a tracking number (if one takes care of the additionel fee, of course)?

Best regards
david

Few weeks ago they emailed me that it will be posted in 4-6 weeks. They never mentioned which wave I am at or when was the check issued...did you ask for that info or they emailed you by themselves?

I received an email two months ago saying that my check would be send (to Belgium)but without a timeframe. Do they sent out an email if they sent the physical check? I wouldn't want to be waiting for months and to then find out it was lost by the courrier company/postal office...

I sent them an email on October 18th, asking them whether they had a timeline for the cheques for Europe; got an answer saying:

"Thank you for contacting us. Our records show a check was mailed on October 13, 2017."

On November, 9th I was getting nervous / impatient as a friend of mine already got his cheque (same country, different city, got his petition approved 2-3 weeks before myself), so I again sent them an email - asking for a tracking number.

Of course they didn't have any, but they validated my mailing address and told me that there is the option of cancelling the first cheque and reissuing another one.

I decided against it as I had the hope of it arriving soon. However, 8 weeks passed by (they always talk about 4-6 weeks, don't they?), so now I will wait another week and then probably have it reissued (though that probably means I'll have to wait even longer because I expect them to send it with another wave which has yet to come).

No, they didn't explicitly send an email, but you can ask them for the status of your check. Would relieve me if there were more Europeans still waiting (don't understand how cheques can still be a thing 2017, lol), because that could mean such a delay is nothing unusual.

Best regards and GL to all of you,

Hey y'all,

Been a long time. I had two accounts (one on AP, another on UB), one with about 20 bucks and another with a few thousand. The one with 20 bucks has gotten approved but the bigger one hasn't been approved. I used the same information for both claims, and have no federal debt or whatever. I'm in America too, so it's pretty frustrating to see seemingly everyone get paid but me.

I've called and gotten the 'dude this is just the call center' and told that my claim is just pending with no additional information. Any tips for getting my claim through?

Support seems to stop answering questions on the mail. No answers from them about my check status 6 days now. They use to answer in 24h...
